“We visited this restaurant twice on our 2 night break to Rome because the waiting staff (Two ladies and a gentleman behind the bar) were so lovely and accommodating. We had the best Carbonara I probably will ever try (my partner had it the first night, I had it the second!) We sat outside, the atmosphere was perfect. The recommended wine was beautiful. We even enjoyed some Disney music at closing time whilst the waitresses were cleaning inside. Such a sweet place. Super reasonable and we will definitely have to return”

If you can overlook the outdoor dehor's questionable decor choices, Mezzo is worth a visit. I recently had lunch at Mezzo, a charming restaurant two steps from the magnificent Villa Ada in Rome. The restaurant offers a unique blend of traditional recipes with a modern touch, resulting in a delightful culinary experience. One of the highlights of my meal was the "crema di mascarpone con biscotti" - a heavenly mascarpone cream served with mind-blowing cookies. The combination of the creamy, rich mascarpone and the perfectly baked cookies was divine. It was a dessert that left me craving for more. The dish we ordered for the kids, a portion of "fettuccine al ragu bianco", was good, but the pasta was not perfectly cooked. I ordered a "cacio e pepe con fiori di zucca" that I loved, even if the plate was too salty. The BBQ bao is a must-try! The service at Mezzo was excellent. The staff was fast and precise, ensuring every dish was delivered promptly and with great attention to detail. The price, at around 50 EUR per person, was reasonable considering the food quality and the overall dining experience. However, there were a couple of aspects of Mezzo that didn't quite meet my expectations. The first is about the entry I ordered. On the menu, it was named "cordon bleu", but it was everything but a cordon bleu. I suggest not being too creative when writing a menu. The second is about the place's style. While the indoor furniture had a relaxed and contemporary vibe, a special mention goes to the restroom's style, which is simply amazing. The outdoor dehor seemed to lack the same level of sophistication. The presence of tacky dream catchers hanging around the outdoor seating area was a bit off-putting and didn't blend well with the overall ambience of the restaurant.”

“Amazing location, but not easy to find parking spots! One of the best “Parmigiana” I’ve ever tasted. Also many other yummy dishes. So organizzare, I like the whatsapp Booking but they can get better with timings, both for booking confirmation and for order serving. Anyway an epic experience for the whole period of the year. Although they don’t receive pets, they’re still very well “kids-drawing-equipped”!”

I would thoroughly recommend the Tagliatelle Amatriciana which is the best I've ever had. Good selection of drinks too and prices which are very fair for the quality of food. 10/10.”

We recommend booking in advance as it’s always super busy, chances are you’ll be sitting outside unless you booked as it’s almost always full on the inside. If you’re looking for a good juicy burger, this is your place, as far as we know it’s the best burger in Rome. They’re on par with the quality of international burgers and they’re in Rome city centre? Impressive. We recommend the MAMAMIA Burger, it’s superb. A thick juicy patty, layered with bbq sauce, cheese, bacon & an onion ring. Complete with ketchup, homemade mayo & crispy fries. Indulge in this one and you won’t regret it. There is a large variety of starters to get you going and they offer a fair selection of good quality drinks. The pizza is also outstanding & attracts many people from around the city. If you’re looking for a romantic date this place is a good choice due to dim lighting, outdoor seating & brilliant service.”
