“Honest food at an honest price, which is hard to find these days. Kind of kickback, nostalgic food and (luckily) no 4-5-6-course extravaganzas. Would have ordered most things on the menu, which is normally not the case. Not surprisingly a lot of men in the crowd. We had shrimp cocktails and steaks with a decent house wine. Friendly, competent service too. They are usually fully booked on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which says it ALL.”

“Kloek used to be just a chicken restaurant but they expanded their menu. The food is still good but it's too busy. The staff makes mistakes. Like forgeting one dish. When I went to the bar to ask about it, not anyone noticed me. By the time we finally could speak to a waiter the other dishes were cold. They forgot the sugar and milk for the coffee and there was no waiter we could ask for it. They don't ask if you want another drink and then they only serve 2, not 3. All in all. Better fry your own chicken.”

“My rate: 4.5/5 A random visit for a lunch and it was great. Food: Club sandwich was fine and had ok flavor. However the hamburger was tasty. Burger was well cooked: well seasoning and juicy. The red onion added more flavour to the burger and made it even more delicious. Price: the portions were big and the prices were reasonable. Service: it was Saturday so it's a bit slow but generally waiters were nice. Recommended!”

“Great restaurant, amazing vibe and feels super cozy. Staff is great and food is very tasty. Would come here again, but to everyone coming by car, do not leave anything in your car, not even a scarf, nothing. We had an old bag stuffed away deep down in the trunk, impossible to see. Yet a loser broke into our car, a bitter taste to a fruitful day. Restaurant staff were very friendly and lend us a help. Thanks a lot!”

“I was eating the first time here. I had really high hopes, but I was a bit dissapointed. Fist of all, the staff was talking between themselves a lot and did not really pay attention to us. Secondly the food was pretty average. The king oyster starter was really good but the mains were just ok. We got the galette and the aubergine rolls. None of them had anything special, the curry was very basic and not that flavourful. I was expected a more elevated/interesting take to these dishes. Also because the prices are pretty high.”

“Friendly staff, but definitely didn't even try to keep their distance with regards to the current corona regulations. The "croquettes on bread" were a little disappointing as you just get basic sandwich bread rather than a fresh bun or so, but it was still tasty. Not sure if it was worth nearly €9 though. There's a nice outside seating area with plenty of shade so you can sit in the relative cool.”

“The outdoor seating is right along the Vecht.and is lovely. Staff are very nice and the owner is clearly personally interested in running a place he can be proud of, not just stuffing his pockets as easily as possible. Very good beer selection. Menu is not too big--burgers, ribs, and catch of the day, probably a salad--but the quality is high and the prices are a bit lower than usual for the district.”
