“This is the second Dirty Taco my wife and I come to eat. We previously went to the Stony Brook location and love it so much that we decided to go again. This time, we went to the Rockville Center location and brought a bigger crowd of friends and family with us. The service and food were great. Roman the manager, and Angelica, our waiter really made us feel at home. Food was excellent... as usual!”

“Service was fantastic. They were friendly, attentive, and professional. Atmosphere, well a little long in the tooth now. Let's face it though, for me it's a bar that serves food. The food.....reasonable prices and the food is ok. The wings were good (middle of the pack) compared to others that I've had. I had the steak sandwich and the meat was done to order, and was decent quality. The big issue was the frozen French fries. They were underdone and not much taste. But there was a lot of them! Nothing to deter me from going back, I would just try different things on the menu on our next visit.”

“I hate leaving a review that isn’t positive, but I have to be honest. I came in with high expectations about a week and a half ago, and my entree was downright awful. We started with the Grilled Octopus appetizer, which was PHENOMENAL!! And my boyfriend got a burger, which was standardly yummy, but nothing special. My issue was with my entree, which was a special on their menu. It sounded great on paper. Baked gnocchi aka vodka with lobster tails and burrata?!?! All of my favorite things. It came out on a hot skillet and smelled so delicious. My gnocchi was so stuck to the iron I could barely get it off to eat it, and the ones I did eat were rock solid. The lobster tails were very overcooked, to the point where the meat didn’t come off the shell because it was so rubbery and adhered to the actual tail part. I then asked the waiter if there was a trick to getting the lobster meat off / if he thought it was overcooked, and this man literally just threw his hands in the air and said “you just have to try harder”. IT WAS RUBBER! I shouldn’t be fighting with my food and borderline exercising at the dinner table???? I live nearby and was so excited to support a local business. A horrible entree is forgivable (and I am a forgiving customer), but straight up rude service is not. Needless to say, I will not be back. (The truffle fries are delicious and worthy of a 2nd star.)”

“Just a horrible experience for our Thanksgiving Dinner! Table we got awful in the bar area! The Thanksgiving special $40?? The food was horrendous! All 3 of us threw it out when we got home! Drinks small, service abrupt. No slices of Turkey it was in pieces and mine was mostly dark meat??? What? If not a holiday we would have said something. We are frequent dining people, and being 65 this wins the prize for the worst dinner out ever!!!! We should have complained maybe give us a free dessert at least? We will pass the word on many who dine here occasionally had the same experience a few weeks ago for a BD celebration with 14 people many disliked their meal! So disgusted…”

“Not impressed. The food wasn't awful; however it wasn't mind blowing. I opted to try the place out during its Lunch Buffet which is $19.99 - I was under the impression that everything was included except with a limited amount of meats. Upon arrival - I was told they'd only be keeping the buffet open until 3:30pm (it was a little after 3). I figured ok, I drove here already - I may as well try it out. Now, as a long time foodie... I know how these type of places work; however the girl who tried turning us away didn't bother to explain. She also didn't explain that the meats were an additional charge (which is ridiculous considering that's the ONLY reason to pay that kind of price for a lunch buffet). The place had been empty and the dishes were all barely filled - so I didn't eat much. The candied bacon was a joke... it was dry and had no flavor whatsoever. The meats weren't impressive at all - the Picanha wasn't bad and the Gaucho was nice. The Lobster Bisque was watery... could've been good if it were creamy and not watered down. The woman... trying to rush the table... handed a check for over $70!!! That's when she said the meat portion was more. I had a problem with this and a gentleman was kind and adjusted the bill. The money wouldn't have been an issue had there been an actual dining experience, time to try enjoying it and most of all - HAD IT EXPLAINED! What pissed me off more is the audacity to include a TIP on a bill at 20% when the waitress did absolutely NOTHING. Needless to say we will never be returning. Considering my reach and relationships with other restaurateurs across the country - I would've rather had a great experience and felt comfortable referring people there. It's a shame - I had high hopes.”

“I visited this place with a friend who serves here while visiting Long Island. The setting is very friendly. I got their soup of the day which was some vegetable mix; it was alright. Their bread was served warm and fresh. For my entree I ordered the steak quesadilla which was put of this world! Their home made pico dip complimented the dish well. The service was top notch. The busser gave me a drink to-go and a bag for my food. Despite being on the pricer side, is a great place for a casual evening or a serious date.”
