“Amazing Hawaiian food! It is even tastier than the one I got in Hawaii. Loved BBQ guava pork - super tender pulled pork with pineapple and rice. Poke bowl was amazing as well - fresh tuna and avocado, simple but delicious. The dessert, coconut custard, was a unique and out of this world experience. Definitely recommend 💕💕💕!!!”

5351 Adobe Falls Rd, San Diego, CA 92120, United States

“Had a great time at Dell’s hideout. Torrie our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. I will be back for the turkey and the meatloaf next. The ribs were delicious. The hotlink could use some help. Baked potato salad, great mac & cheese, great.”

The Privateer Coal Fire Pizza
4.6
( 8 reviews ) $$

1706 S Coast Hwy, Oceanside, CA 92054, United States

“Friendly staff, quite a few out of the ordinary options for the pizza. Typical price if you don't order drinks, prices are pretty reasonable. The menu is diverse enough that everyone in your group should be able to find something that appeals. Restaurant is very loud inside or outside, if you have hearing problems in your party, I would definitely recommend either going on a week night when it's not super busy or getting your food to go. I had the privateer pie, which was delicious! Thin crust, the walnut pesto was yummy. Definitely large enough for two. The eggplant Parm was good, but by itself overwhelmed by the tomato flavor. I'd recommend a salad or side to go with it.”

“Love all the beef & pork meat plus the sides. The steamed egg, not so much, too watery. The restrooms could use a little upgrade and cleaning.. also the hallway going to the restrooms. Food, I'll give it 4 1/2 stars Service, 5 stars Cleanliness, 3 stars”

Pepper Farm Deli

Closed until 08:00 AM

235 Town Center Pkwy H, Santee, CA 92071, United States

“This deli in Santee is a gem! Their fresh juices are bursting with flavor and unquestionably fresh. But let's talk about their cheesecake - it's hands down one of the best I've had in a while, incredibly creamy and indulgent. The salad portion sizes are huge! In fact, I had enough salad for two days from just one serving. They offer fantastic lunch specials with great deals as well. Owner and workers there were so nice to me and still helped me with my order even though they were getting ready to close. They have indoor and outdoor seatings. If you're looking for a spot with fresh juices, amazing cheesecake, and generous portions, this deli is a must-visit in Santee!”

Dirty Birds Liberty Station

( 8 reviews )

2970 Truxtun Rd #9, San Diego, CA 92106, United States

“We arrived on Friday during lunchtime and it was busy. We decided to sit inside the establishment. I had ordered the chicken quesadilla and it was delicious with sour cream and fresh salsa on the side. Also, ordered their wings and it was very delicious and highly recommend as they have a plethora of options. Lastly, my friend ordered the steak sandwich with amazing flavor. It was a bit chilly and cold inside so recommend sitting outside in the beautiful San Diego weather.”

Handoo Korean Bbq

( 8 reviews ) $$
Closed until 12:00 PM

4647 Convoy St #104, San Diego, CA 92111, United States

“Originally went to another place that was booked and they suggested to come here. They were kind, attentive, and fairly busy. Service was very fast. It’s a quaint, intimate space. I didn’t know I was ordering all you can eat but I picked option B. The spicy pork was the winner this time as every other meat needed flavor via marinade or a better sauce. Prime rib was tender. .my only dilemma is that the grill is changed often but the oil doesn’t help with the meat sticking way too much to get a good sear. I like that we didn’t need to cook all our vegetables because we had so many prepared sides. Would definitely come again.”

“Went on a Saturday afternoon. Got outdoor seating and the crowd was chill. I like they have non alcoholic cocktails and a beer option. Staff was friendly. Only got the ahi poke stack and it was really good. Surprisingly nice presentation too. Would definitely go back and try the other food options.”

“Only one minor complaint they switched dinner rolls and butter for burger buns, without letting us know ahead of time. The barbecue beef was excellent as were the baked beans and potato salad. We had ordered dinner for 72 people for a nonprofit organization and we were granted special pricing. I recommend this establishment to friends and family, as well as for take out for larger groups! Thank you Todd. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼👍”

Allegro Restaurant And Bar

“Came in for dinner to try their Italian dining experience menu. You get an appetizer, entree, and dessert for around $38. What a deal! And it was a lot of food too. My friend really liked her Espresso martini. Their enclosed outdoor patio was really cute and warm with the patio heaters on. I suggest sitting there rather than inside as it feels more special.”

“𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐅𝐎𝐇 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 Review: Coco Maya, San Diego — I debated how I wanted to review this restaurant, but given my experience with Peter Cich, the “Serial” restaurant and bar owner, I decided to go with a more direct approach. -- I can sum this up in one way: when you are known to be a “serial owner,” that means the owner could care less about the service and what’s happening at his restaurant; he just likes the cash flow. Read the whole review at the bottom. I talk about my brief encounter with him. -- Michael Glinter has traveled to 68 countries and 36 states to get the flavor of some amazing foods. His view on reviews is simple – Taste, Presentation, and Service. He believes telling the reader a positive and negative unbiased look at the restaurant is essential. -- Service: Horrific. In fact, it was so bad that I gave below 15%, which I have never done, even at the worst restaurants. We had a reservation. When we first walked in, there were 2 other tables with patrons. So, one would expect it to be a pretty smooth visit. We waited 10 minutes to be seated. Once we got seated, we immediately ordered a hot tottie and a coffee. It took 18 minutes to get a coffee. Of course, when the coffee came, the outside and plate were dirty. We placed our order and waited. It took 47 minutes to get the Maya Breakfast and chilaquiles. -- I always find it interesting as you are waiting to watch the dynamics in the restaurant. Two groups of 2 came into the restaurant and waited at the hostess stand for 12 minutes just for the bartender to come by and say someone would be out shortly. Ten minutes later, someone finally came and sat at the two tables. The table next to us was served their breakfast, and the lady asked for a side of green sauce. The waitress came out with the green sauce once they were done eating. -- Food: We finally received our food, and I will give them credit; the food looked good and tasted good, but I already had a bad taste in my mouth. The food was good. The Jerk Shrimp, which should be served hot, was like warm. Half of the Totopos were stale. I would have told the waitress; however, she never even asked. I would say this: the food was curated well and was picturesque. -- It was a Miami Latin vibe. It had some character. -- Now, where does the owner come in? I was sitting in the restaurant and texted him, letting him know how bad the service was. He called me and said, “Who is this, and how did you get my number?” Here is a little tip, Peter Cich: if a patron tells you they are having a bad experience, you should change your approach. -- My recommendation would be don’t give this guy a dime. Please stay away from Coco Maya and his other restaurants, Miss B’s Coconut Club, Park 101, Louisiana Purchase, Q and A Restaurant, and Cococaban”
