“This place is an absolute must stop! They have five meats, one sauce, and two sides on their menu; Pork, Beef, Ham, Turkey, Baloney, and potato salad or coleslaw. We shared three sandwiches and one of each side. It was all simply perfect. The sandwiches come with sauce or without, on grilled white bread and served perfectly wrapped in paper. It feels like the way it’s been done for 100 years, with no changes. It was super inexpensive, friendly, clean, unique, and delicious. One of our favorite stops ever, and by pure random chance. Absolutely must go here and step back in time if you’re nearby. Nothing fancy, just perfectly simple and good. Really friendly staff too, and it felt like they knew everyone that walked through the door.”

“I chose this place because of the Google reviews. I really wanted to love it. The service was EXCELLENT! They got very busy right after I came in and only seemed to have 2 people working but the woman at the register was AMAZING. They happened to run out of ribs and shrimp this day which was ok because we chose other options. My son chose the brisket nachos. He complained the whole time he was eating them and threw over half of them away. He didn't like that the chips were mushy and he said he could barely find any chips underneath everything. He also said the cheese tasted like Mac and cheese and he didn't like the combination. My plate was great. The meat was delicious and the beans were on point. I could've done without the broccoli and over cooked fries though. The peach cobbler was absolutely the best part of the meal. Spending 70 dollars on 3 meals was a bit much, but considering the area it was not surprising. I might return for the cobbler alone but I would hesitate based on the pricing.”

The sweet potato crunch, Mac and cheese, potato casserole, and corn pudding. The best we have had. They gave us complimentary sausage Very good. The owner is as nice as can be. He makes sure you're happy. I would recommend this place to everyone. We drove 45 minutes just to eat here.”

The cafe has rustic picnic tables with a priceless view of the water. Service is friendly and fast but guests tend to linger with a bottle of champagne or two, so go early or off peak hours. If you walk up on a Saturday with nice weather, expect to wait up to an hour for a high table. But ultimately, it’s worth it!”

We ordered our food and it was reasonably priced, we waited about 4 minutes for it. Pulled pork was delicious and the sides were up there with it. My husband had the brisket sandwich and really enjoyed it as well. This wasn't my husbands first time but it was for me, I was impressed overall with the friendliness and fast service. “Buyer beware!!!!! The rib dinner meal is listed as $22 but when we got the bill it was $44. The food was decent but they were out of half of it so ribs were one of the only options. The manager refused to correct it even after we showed her the menu with the price we ordered from. She said it just is what it is. Then she was super unprofessional talking trash with other customers because we were upset. Our server was amazing so it sucked to end our experience that way.”
