“The staff is absolutely amazing here. Got the 2 meat platter with brisket & chicken. Both brisket & chicken were dry & the chicken was not as tender as I was expecting. Muffin top was amazing. Got sweet corn for my side which was decent. They have fresh lemonade for $2.50(unlimited refills) which was great.”

“What a disappointment. Strong avoid. I see why this place is never on any “hidden gem” lists. For $30 I would expect a little more than soggy warm potato discs, cafeteria liquid smoked beef and hot links smoked so long they’re sawdust.”

“I had visited this location for the first time over the Holidays. The staff here were very friendly. The food was awesome. Loved the Pulled Pork with Coleslaw. The Baked Potato Casserole I highly recommend. I recall Luis who had helped with my order. He was professional and gave great food suggestions. There was also a tall blonde, don’t recall her name. She was just a delight. She was cleaning tables. So friendly and a great sense of humor. Restaurant was being put back in order as I had come in right after lunch rush. I will be coming back. Thank you for making my visit so positive!”

“My friend from St Joseph brought me here during a recent visit and I loved it! It was a little chilly to sit outside with views of the river, but I loved the warmth and woodsy decor of the dining room. There is a full bar, a good wine list, and a nice selection of craft beers on tap. Fresh hot popovers with honey butter (oh yum!) were brought by our friendly and helpful server. My friend got the glazed salmon and I opted for the pork ribs — both were delicious! If there had been room for dessert, I’d have gone for the lava cake; that’ll be next time!”

“Quick and efficient. I called ahead and the time was perfect and spot on. Street parking is available and I had no problem finding a spot. Signage is easy to read and very visible. Food was great! Rib tips came with BBQ sauce on the side, I enjoy the fact I had the option to choose how much sauce I wanted to put on my tips. The BBQ sauce came in great portion. Catfish was classic, packaged well with my tips. I didn't have to worry about food being soggy because it was prepared/packaged well. Yams were phenomenal! I will return, I want to see what else the menu has to offer. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the entire experience!”

“Excellent place to eat after a long day on the road and especially for smoked meats. Food was great and the staff were very friendly and met my specific request. Had a chance to chat with the owner and was impressed by her passion and desire to own a business and make a difference in her community while giving others opportunities as well. They had run out of brisket, because it's so popular, and when I told her I was disappointed she went and cut a piece off of the brisket she was cooking and it was amazing. Great outdoor atmosphere and would highly recommend you stop by and visit.”
