“This is a very cool speakeasy bar in a great neighbourhood in Amsterdam. The cocktails are not cheap, at 14€ a pop, but they are well worth it! Both of our cocktails were boozy and extremely tasty. The Mai Thai style one, served in a cute monkey cup, was absolutely delicious and seemed to never end. Personally, I loved the old fashioned style cocktail, which features smoked peat, and is served to you in a wooden box which, upon opening, smoke billows out. It embues the cocktail with a beautiful smokiness. I’m just sad I didn’t know it was coming, otherwise I would have got it in video.”

“The best rock music bar in Zwolle, period. Been coming here for years now, and I can only recommend the great ambience, staff and fellow visitors. It's a music bar so live events are quite common here. If you're into rock/metal be sure to pay the bar a visit. The owners also have a blues bar right next to this cafe, called Honky Tonk Jack's.”

All cocktails there are pretentious, with fancy descriptions and ingredients. But I wouldn’t call them special taste-wise. They are good. Just good. Nothing more. You can also order classic cocktails which are not in the menu. Espresso martini was delicious, better than other cocktails from the fancy menu that tried.”

The staff is really friendly but the food is dissapointing. We ordered a cheese burger and chicken sate, the burger patty was the cheapest you can get from any supermarket. Furthermore, the quantity was not enough even for me (and I'm a small woman who gets full quickly).”

“This breezy cafe provided one of my family’s favorite dining experiences during our trip to The Netherlands this August. The apple pie was a treasure, easily one of the best I have ever had. The crust had a lovely crumb and the apples were fresh and light. The environs are gorgeous - close to some cool art installations and along a lovely cobblestone lane, which made for great pedestrian watching. The vegetarian bitterballen and the fried jalapeño were highlights, as well as the pea soup and delicious sandwiches and hummus.”

This one sprawls all over both sides of the almost deserted road as traffic is restricted. It has more character than the endless modern kerb bars that line the pedestrianised streets in the centre. Try the Leffe Beer with grenadine!”

“Oh my god: I had the best burger of my life here (no pro, just a fan). Totally unexpected! Their burger was juicy, could taste the beef, no ingredient overshadowed another, perfect harmony! You could taste that the chef liked to eat what he prepared! French fries were great: crispy on the outside, soft in the center, had real potatoes taste. Quality stuff. All other dishes were fantastic as well and the portions had a perfect size! Staff is super nice and uncomplicated. You see that they like their jobs and like to be around their guests. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
