I truly enjoy that anyone who has a reservation has a seat. You aren't elbow-to-elbow in standing crowds. It is okay to come here, too, if you don't speak German very well. Bring extra cash for the tip bowl that gets passed around. From a food perspective, there are a few snack options, which are fine, but you don't come here for the food. You need to be at Jazzbar Vogler by 7 PM/19:00 to keep your seat reservation. I wish the grace period for that was a bit later. This would allow a little more time for dinner before the show. I'm sure there are good reasons for this policy. At most, it is just a small annoyance and it's worth it for the quality of the experience and the price.”

“This place is next level kitsch. At best it's a loving tribute to Americana, done with passion and reverence. At worst it's a fetishization and characture of southern culture (and all that may entail) and I don't know how to feel about it. But the food is good, the people are friendly, and they are a great contributor to community, always hosting events and having live music. Recommend the cheese stuffed crust pizza! It's perhaps the real true saloon experience of my life, whatever that is, and crazy that I should find it in the suburbs of Munich, Germany.”

“We have traveled from New Zealand to visit Tegensee and stopped after the long walk around the lake to have something to drink at your restaurant. We were told that the tables were reserved and that we had to take our drinks to the park bench outside the restaurant and return the glassware once we were finished. We were made to feel like second class citizens. Whilst we sat outside not one person sat down at the tables behind us the whole time. There is no need to treat tourists like this. We have traveled around Europe through 7 countries and have not been exposed to this treatment. Would not recommend! 18.07.23 - I can see the response but this is not correct. None of the tables were reserved. We were made to sit outside because we only wanted something to drink and not something to eat and drink. It is always best to be honest that you in fact you don't welcome guests to only have something to drink and sit at the table. It doesn't alter the way you treat tourists and it isn't acceptable. In New Zealand you are welcome to sit at a table to have something to drink or both as we value tourists. You should visit and see for yourself.”

“This bar is perfectly situated inside Hilton Munich City. The ambiance was chill, and the music matched it well. The staff was kind and knowledgeable of their menu. They have a great selection of cocktails, and the menu divides it by hints of flavors (e.g., fruity, woody). The food selection is simple yet delicious. Their kitchen closes at 22:30. Overall, the experience was splendid. I recommend this place.”

“The more causal little brother of the fine dining restaurant Mural, it’s fair to say you would have some expectations as you sit down in the chic modernist interior. And things start off well, the complimentary bread from Julius Bratner and thoughtfully semi melted room temperature butter. But the food afterwards is creative but somewhat misses the spot; ingredient pairings are interesting like fermented leek with Sichuan type peppers with steak that is a tad too chewy. Or things like sunflower ice cream, which whilst creative a flavour, doesn’t really pair all that well with French toast and poached pears. The service also starts out ok but degrades to being downright bad towards the end. Starting out friendly and taking some time to explain the menu but as each dish is served, the accompanying wine comes with the bottle and explanation of tasting notes to just slapping down the wine glass on your table and giving you the name of the wine while looking irritated if you ask questions about it. Oh, and the pacing of the meal is completely off: 20 odd minutes between the starter and main but we waited over 40 minutes to get our dessert. To top it off, the waitress scowls at the end when you leave a less than sufficient tip despite the terrible service. So as much as this place has great potential, it unfortunately doesn’t live up to it.”
