Jojo Restaurant And Bar
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$

1518 U St NW, Washington, DC 20009, United States

“Great place to enjoy a drink and excellent music. The staff took excellent care of us. The space is tight and reservations are recommended. We will be back!”

The Green Zone

( 8 reviews ) $$
Closed until 12:00 PM

2226 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009, United States

“This isn’t my first time here but it’s my first time trying The Green Zone’s brunch. What a delight!!! The food was spectacular. It felt and tasted as if it came out from my grandmother’s kitchen. The Iced Turkish Pistachio Coffee was amazing. The Green Zone is also known for their amazing cocktails and drinks. My favorites are the “Mint Lemonade & More” and “A Few of my Favorite Things.” You won’t regret it.”

Looking Glass Lounge
4.5
( 8 reviews )

3634 Georgia Ave NW, Washington, DC 20010, United States

“Stopped in for happy hour with an old friend. The place was empty and not too loud. Perfect for catching up. We shared the enormous portion of appetizer nachos, and had some cocktails. Definitely worth it! Service is great. Vibe is chill. They play old school hip hop - the classics! Shortly before we left, the crowd came in for the trivia. So perfect timing for us! A nice neighborhood spot!”

“Best combo bar / music venue in DC until further notice.”

Astro Beer Hall

( 16 reviews ) $$

1306 G St NW, Washington, DC 20005, United States

“I was looking forward to Astro Beer Hall and their chicken sandwich as it was highly rated on several websites. Overall, the food was “fine”. I ordered the The Asteroid. By itself, the chicken was pretty good. But it was a little too small for a sandwich. My primary concerns were that the jalapeño coleslaw didn’t have much flavor, but more importantly, the brioche bun completely overpowered the rest of the sandwich. If I were local, I would go again and get it with the cheddar biscuit bun instead. The atmosphere was nice and the bartender was extremely friendly, so this would be a repeat spot for me if I was a local. Bit pricey; paid around 30$ (including tip) for what you see in the picture (plus a coke drink) but overall not a bad experience.”

Present Company Public House
4.6
( 8 reviews )

438 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001, United States

“We recently hosted an event at Present Company. The staff were beyond amazing! All our guests commented that the food was incredible and the best reception they had attended at this national conference. Lauren was extremely responsive to requests and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Present Compnay for any future events. The old firehouse has an amazing bar upstairs and down. The atmosphere and vibe in this location can't be found anywhere else.”

Red Light Bar & Detroit Pizza
4.2
( 8 reviews ) $$
Closed until 03:00 PM

1401 R St NW, Washington, DC 20009, United States

“The Detroit style pizza was good. However, they were charging tips without providing any services. It was more of a self-service restaurant as they only delivered the food at the table. Everything else, we have to go and get it, so I don't know why they would charge tips beforehand. That's the only issue I had, but everything else was good.”

1819 14th St NW, Washington, DC 20009, United States

“I rented out a small section for my birthday in the basement. It was such an easy process in doing so in a month advance. On the day of the event, the space and section were all ready to go for me and my 20-25+ guests. I'm pleased on how everything turned out! The food, drinks, and service were excellent, and best of all, the manager was super friendly and accommodating! I definitely plan on having another event here in the future. Thank you again for everything, Salazar!!”

Tiki Tnt & Potomac Distilling Company
3.9
( 8 reviews ) $$

1130 Maine Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024, United States

“Was disappointed Pupu platter didn’t come with certain items displayed on line but it was good for two people. Drinks and service were great. Waiter always came around and checked on us. They have two bars either several seating style options including an outside bar, deck(semi-outside) and indoor seating. Being able to enjoy a Tiki bar at the end of October is always a plus.”

Ethics On 18th
4.2
( 8 reviews )

2411 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009, United States

“The food is fantastic, but for a whopping $19 for Pork Sisig, $5 extra for a side of Garlic Rice, and $11 for a slice of Ube Cheesecake... Tiki on 18th is less "Filipino" than it is "DC". Oh, and there's an automatic 20% gratuity. In total, a dinner meal for one (an entrée, a side of rice--which SHOULD have been standard for a Filipino dish... for shame, Tiki--and a small dessert) came to be $46.20. That's 2.5 items plus the automatic tip. Now, I grew up in a Filipino household. Others who have grown up similarly would probably agree that the best and most authentic Filipino food is the kind mom makes at home. I would say Tiki does pretty damn well in the quality department, but darn it, those prices just sucker punch you in the gut after a delicious meal. You can either go to an old-school Filipino person's house where the moms or Lolas cook for everyone and get more for fewer dollars spent, or the actual Philippines and get a legit island feast for similar prices. That said, the Sisig was sizzling and tasted delicious, and the Ube Cheesecake was magnifique. The Garlic Rice was good, but... well... my mom makes it better (and for cheaper). Also, the Sisig came on a cast iron skillet, which made a great first impression coming in all steaming and whatnot, but I soon realized that it made the entire dish difficult to scrape the actual food off of (see pics). I felt I wasted precious quality food like this, not to mention I had to scrape the cast iron with my metal utensil--yikes. I don't really drink, so I didn't try the alcoholic menu. INTERIOR: The place itself was a bar filled with tall tables and TV screens for the preppy sportsball nerds. I just sat at the bar and focused on the food which, again, was expensive but very tasty. Overall, Tiki on 18th has delicious food, but at those prices, it just ain't authentic Filipino cuisine: it's a DC restaurant with Filipino influences. You want authentic, go make friends with Filipinos and get invited over to dinner. 3/5 stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️”

2305 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009, United States

“I came here for a birthday party back in September and overall had a really great experience. Expecting a party of about 15, I was able to email them 2 weeks ahead of time and reserve a large karaoke room for 2 hours. Their hourly rates are super reasonable and the room was plenty big to seat everybody. We also got a plethora of food and honestly, it was surprisingly good - in fact you can fully expect to have a great lunch or dinner here while your friends are singing. One tip is to definitely not over order as the dishes are enormous (as seen in the included picture). They were super attentive checking in on us and made sure we had everything we needed to ensure a great party. The bar was also reasonable for AdMo (it's not a bar where they charge $15 for a simple cocktail). The only thing to keep in mind is that they already INCLUDE a 18% tip (which I should've expected). I mistakenly double tipped not thinking this, but was able to resolve this by calling them back the day afterwards and getting that refunded.”

Fight Club

633 Pennsylvania Ave. SE, Washington, DC 20003, United States

“We had the chicken sandwich, BLT and fruity pebbles ice cream sandwich. All the sandwiches had a unique thing about them that separates them from the rest. It the flavors paired good and was cooked great. I wish fries came with the sandwich. Owner gave us a free ice cream sandwich today for no reason at all! Everything is a 1990s/2000 vibe to the place and they even gave me my receipt in a blockbuster movie case.”
