“West Avenue Cider House has one of the best atmospheres in the Hamilton area. There is a beautiful large outdoor seating area – and considering West Avenue is located in rural Flamborough, they are great for people who want to enjoy a drink outdoors but are tired of street side patios common in cities. West Avenue is family friendly with kids being able to play in one of the back fields. Dogs are also welcome in the outdoor areas, which my pup appreciated. As for the cider… absolutely amazing! There is a wide selection of ciders offered by West Avenue, with many being award winners. You can order a tasting set, so you can quickly find something on their menu to love. For me, my favourite of the day was “Northern Lights”, which tasted like honey! I encourage everyone to check out West Avenue Cider House. You will enjoy the visit!”

I had a Red hot chicken bao and my husband had a Tuna bowl. The cocktail were also good, I really enjoyed mine which was bit sweet and not too strong. The service and the atmosphere were great. The view is simply amazing. I'll definitely return. This is the space to go for drinks and small bites.”

“Absolutely delicious fish and chips! They greeted me, told me I could sit anywhere, proceeded to their nice bathrooms, and then I got an amber old flame, which was also great. The fish and chips came with Ketchup, Gravy, and a great coleslaw. Everything was great, and our staff member was very helpful. Will be back again and again whenever we visit Whitby!”

Highly recommend the dulce de leche cake if you enjoy a chocolatey caramel cake! The blueberry cheesecake was also great but didn’t stand out compared to the dulce de leche.”

“We had a great experience here for the most part! I will warn, make sure if you order drinks from the bar, know what you want well and how to substitute if need be even better. We tried to order a peach bellini cocktail, were served a hard seltzer by that name instead, and then got told after raising the issue that they couldn't make a peach bellini. I got the impression that the bartender wasn't sure what went into one. I was able to order a cocktail made to order to mimic the taste well, which was nice of them to accommodate, but it should be noted that this was my initiative - a substitute was not offered to us initially. In summary, if you're particular about your bar cocktails, it's probably better to find somewhere else, but if that isn't on your radar or if you understand mixology at least a bit, you should be fine. The food and atmosphere were great!”

“Highly recommend this unique and authentic Lao restaurant. Beautiful decor, cool light fixtures, and spacious. Most importantly, the food was delicious!! We got the tapioca dumplings, the caramelized braised pork belly stew (served with rice), the Lao sausage (served with sticky rice), and the jeow bong pineapple fried rice -- I would order everything again. The menu had lots of vegetarian options. Reservations are accepted, but it wasn't too busy on a Monday night at 5 pm.”

There was a lively crowd present during their good karaoke. There's one thing about this restaurant that you should exercise caution with. The waitress will still bring you beer/drinks even after you tell her you're done and ready for the bill. Out of consideration for her, you might not refuse and let her continue.
