Hoppin' Charlotte

1402 Winnifred St, Charlotte, NC 28203, United States

“My husband I have been curious about this spot so we dropped in while trying Tacos Rick'O Truck in their patio area. There was a live band there who sounded nice. The atmosphere was nice also. We aren't really beer drinkers so we didn't try the beer wall. There was wine on the wall also, I just wasn't comfortable with the wine glasses that look to sit below the wall all day. I'd prefer a clean glass from the bar. But the bartender quickly arrive when he saw us go near the bar and our drink was just a vodka and pineapple. The tacos were okay also. I like the single tortillas tacos. I wasn't aware that they double their tortillas. The flavor of the pork & chicken was okay for me also. I saved some for my 11yr. old and he gave them a 10😀 I think all authentic street tacos are worth a try. I didn't get any pics inside, sorry.”

“Very cool spot with an eclectic feel. Some pretty good sandwiches and salads there that were very fresh and made to order. They have a cool selection of snacks and drinks to go with your meal too. Def a vibe and there was plenty of outdoor seating.”

Noda 101

3205 N Davidson St UNIT 101, Charlotte, NC 28205, United States

“This is always a HIT spot whenever we are in Noda. For some reason, we always end up going on Sunday, which is service industry night. Everybody is always super friendly and welcoming. This is a karaoke bar, but even if you don't actually stand and sing something, it's still an awesome bar to go and listen to others and get a couple of drinks. They don't sell any type of food here, so definitely plan on grabbing a quick bite before you go. When you go up to sing, everyone makes you feel super welcomed and get you going, and everyone sings along, especially if it's a classic or favorite! This is definitely a bar I recommend to everyone when they are in Noda. This is the most liveliest bar, and the ambiance is always on point! Now this is in Noda, so parking is terrible. There are a couple of parking lots you can park at or Side Street if you get there early enough. We do tend to arrive early (8 pm) just to be able to snag a seat at the bar and be comfortable.”

“We have been going to Dot almost weekly for over two years and there's a reason we keep returning. It's is the place you go for expertly crafted cocktails prepared by knowledgeable bartenders. I would never say it was a bar that was suitable for everyone - for us, we appreciate the focus on the drinks and the atmosphere created by a lack of TVs, warmth from the staff and the sense that you're at a place that cares about presentation (both of the menu items and of its customers). We occasionally get food and it is consistently good, but the cocktails and people are what keep us coming back. For us, the cocktail menu is full of well-balanced drinks, and if you want to play around with different liquors/flavors, the bartenders are well equipped to make whatever you're looking for. Just keep in mind a lot of ingredients are seasonal. We do suggest, especially for parties of one or two who are serious about their cocktails, sitting at the bar if at all possible. But remember the bar is reserved too, so you can't just walk up and sit. For the people who complain about ID requirements - regardless of you age, don't go out to bars without your actual ID. I've been legally able to drink for 20+ years and I know I still need my ID when I go out drinking. Why would a bar want to possibly lose its liquor license because you didn't bother to plan ahead? Another point to clear up, membership is $10 per year, not $25 as someone erroneously said in another review. And we consider it money well spent.”

Lost Worlds Brewing Company

Closed until 12:00 PM

19700-D One Norman Blvd, Cornelius, NC 28031, United States

“Spacious and open place with lots of seating indoors and out. Plenty of knowledgeable and friendly staff to take libation orders. The beer tastes great with a little something for every beer connoisseur: light, lager, ale, IPA, cider, sours... there's even some good wine selections. A food truck rotation scheduled outside to feed your appetite. There's also several restaurants located in the plaza nearby. Tonight's truck was Muchachos Tacos. Themed flights with the Adventurers's flight affording you a chance to earn a koozie by answering a trivia question derived from artifacts around the brewery. Great fun. Outside stage features different bands and soloists throughout the month. There's fun events slated different nights of the week. Good parking, too. We had such a good time, that we will definitely return soon.”

The Wine Vault

9009 J M Keynes Dr #1, Charlotte, NC 28262, United States

“Fine Vibes with Fine Wines... at Wine Vault. Are you looking for a spritzy or sparkly evening filled with jazzy music and eclectic art? Then look no further this space is great for solo date nights, catching up on an assignment, or a simple fun gathering with friends. They offer a wide variety of wines at a variety of price ranges. The flavors are just as fun to explore as the space. If you enjoy outdoors a patio area opens up to feel the breeze and catch the scene. It's in the heart of the University City area... (Boardwalk). It may be busy with passersby but worth enjoying. Inclusive.... LGBT+ friendly. Cozy couches, intimate spaces and open to event rental. The clocks on the wall set a nice tone... feels endless in this space. The Art represents local artists and offers a nice balance like good wine.... Looking to return soon but even if not... this is a great space to enjoy wine and take a bottle to go. Side note writers... this is your zen space.”
