“Didn't live up to 4 stars Good points Friendly reception Lovely location. Nice pools. Bad points One the lights in our bedroom wasn't working (bulb had blown). No indication on the phone of how to contact reception. I pressed all the buttons. Had to walk down myself. Light was also not working in the sitting room outside our bedroom. Room 401 was lovely and large, huge bathroom but very little light due to tiny windows. Bed was not comfortable due to cheap mattress where you could feel the springs. No duvet cover on duvet (see photo). In the sitting area a load of stuff on top of an area (see photo). Breakfast basic disgusting coffee from a machine. No fresh squeezed orange juice. Spa, showers not working in pool area or changing rooms. Only one sauna working.”

“Very clean room, well appointed. There were snacks and a (glass!) bottle of water. The shower was great with abundant hot water and two large sprayers. Bed was comfy with lots of pillows. Love the clean style of the newly renovated room. It is right next to the Metro station, but to go downtown you do have to make a connection. And that is worth it.”

“10-min walk to Porto airport, which is very convenient (avoid it if you have a lot of luggage, as the road is not the best for walking with bags). Quiet and good beds, breakfast looked good and opens up early morning (around 5am), and staff was ok (polite but not super helpful/happy). For the price, it is a good option if you’ve an early flight or just want to sleep after a long trip!”

I liked the feeling of texture on the floor with nice design of matching tiles, window with good sound insulation, world class spa procedures, the minimalist/contemporary design of everything. What could be improved to get 6 out of 5 :) - I believe the noise on balcony from the street can be significantly lowered by applying some sound insulation to the fans of air conditioning from both ocean building (the one with "Recharge" bar) and also Royal Savoy - The tea kettle had unpleasant plastic smell - The bar uses ice cubes presumably made from tap water, which seemed desalinated - thus giving slight salty taste to all drinks - Lobby bar had ice cream on menu, but when asked, turns out it is in the other building in "recharge" bar - I wear M size pants, but I found the WC seat to be quite small”

Hotel lobby is decently ok, and the experience with their staff was good, but the hotel rooms, our family used three of them, are very outdated, bathrooms really need a mayor improvement, A/C in room 307 dripped water the whole first night, and was repaired next day. At least 3rd floor hallway carpet is really in bad shape, stains all over, specially in front of elevator. The best mayor plus of the hotel is its location, but other than that it qualify for a low 3 stars hotel.”

“We arrived at the hotel and found that the carpet was full of stains, then when I got into the shower the showerhead had mold forming. The air dryer had so much dust you could smell it burning. The feet towel had black stains. The air conditioning had a life of it's own and the bathroom exhaust too. To end it all, the room service personal came into the room without a knock on the door. A bad experience overall, the staff was friendly at least.”

Was a better experience before lock down but like I said overall still a great place to detox. They stopped letting you make your own juice which was disappointing, also the team leader i won't mention her name but she could be more knowledgable when it comes to the nutritional/natural healing advice. Before lock down really was an exceptional experience! Must be over budget for the new retreat in South Portugal and as a result Juicy Oasis has suffered slightly.”

A bit of walk to the city center, but with the bus stop a front of the door, so not a big deal. We would definitely stay here again next time visiting Madeira.”

“This hotel was not easy to find with roadworks, closed roads with restaurant terraces and very narrow roads, where our vehicle could not go through. It has a very good location and expensive parking facilities in the building worth every centime. At walking distance, you can get to many tourist attractions, the beach front, town museum, market (twice a week) and Marina. Here there are many eateries and shops. Our room, facing the side road, was clean, comfortable, and pretty quiet, except for some music one night, but not too loud. The staff is friendly and helpful, mostly very young. The included buffet breakfast offered includes fresh fruits and eggs which is a good way to start the day. Surprisingly it is served until 11:00 hrs. We recommend this hotel for the location, staff and rate.”
