“We stayed at this hotel for a week and I think it was one of the best holiday stays I've ever had. The hotel itself is very nice and the courtyard gives it a communal atmosphere - I think summer here would be very nice. The hotel provides a swimming pool with spa and hammam, and the bar is very comfortable, with incredibly nice and attentive staff. The room we stayed in was very clean and spacous and felt like it was recently renovated. The position of the hotel is very close to the beach as well as some great restaurants and patisseries. Over all I would highly recommend the Grand Hotel Des Bains as one of the best stays in La Rochelle!”

“A perfect campsite!! Incredibly friendly staff, very clean facilities, quiet at night (you can hear the sea!), and beautiful surroundings. AND it is literally across the street from a fantastic beach that has lifeguards, bathrooms, and cafes. We did not miss the 'extras' of other sites like a pool etc because of how comfortable and welcome we felt. Great proximity to Biarritz, St Jean de Luz and San Sebastien as well. We were there for 2 nights (arrived without a reservation, we have a small tent) with our 10 year old twins and didn't want to leave! Highly recommend.”

“For the price in this area it's really ok. When we first booked it I found it expensive but then checked the rest and changed my mind. The city in general is very expensive (for south European standards). The staff is very polite and willing to help with anything you need. The rooms are cozy and clean(I just disagree with the red flower light because it makes the whole room red at night). Close to the center. There is the option of parking for 12€/night and the option for breakfast for 15€/person. We didn't try the breakfast so I can't really tell you about it.”

“A fantastic hostel with a warm and responsive staff. Conveniently situated near the tram and key city attractions in a charming neighborhood. Equipped with all essential comforts, the dormitory rooms are spacious and well-lit. The lovely patio provides a great space for socializing with other guests. Highly recommend it!”
