“Here are our mixed experiences with the hotel: Check-in: When we were checking in, I asked if we had been upgraded by any chance as we would always ask at all the hotel chains where we have an elite status. The answer was, "Yes, you are getting a bigger room". As usual, I asked which category we were upgraded to, and the person couldn't answer that...long story short, the room type she referred to was just the one we booked. There is certainly nothing wrong with getting the exact room type you booked because we all understand that an upgrade is not guaranteed but honesty would be much appreciated. I think some younger employees could use some more training in treating guests more professionally. Room: We have checked out both rooms on the two different sides of the hotel, you can both see mountains in the background more or less. The category which they call "Mountain view " is actually rather a pool view with guests swimming or lounging on the chairs. Our room was on the other side, which closely facing a car road and a bridge with a fair amount of traffic, If you kept the window open you would hear all the noise and smell the gas, but luckily the windows were rather soundproof. Hygiene: Unfortunately, when we got in the room, there was an empty water bottle on the desk(two bottles of complimentary water are included) lined up with the other full bottle. It tells me that they did not clean the desk as they were supposed to, because if the cleaning person had ever touched the bottle, they would have noticed the empty bottle. Food: The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices, fresh. Diner was also good with a great salad bar. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and the service was pleasant and professional. They made us feel so much better about our stay.”

“King's Hotel Center was great! My travel partner and I very much enjoyed our 7-night stay in a double room. While the room was small, it was perfectly functional, comfortable, and very clean. We appreciated the mini-fridge, which was kept stocked with two free bottles of water every day plus a bottle of beer and a coke as a welcome gift. While there was no coffee machine in the room, there is a complimentary espresso machine in the hotel lobby that we used frequently. The front desk staff was wonderful. We were impressed by their ability to navigate the travel disruption caused by a massive snow storm in Munich in early December 2023.”

“The rooms are cheap, but there's a reason. The room was clean, but the bathroom had a water leak. The beds were comfortable enough, but the pillows had obviously lost all their stuffing years ago. The lights turn off on you as you're walking up the stairs, and the wifi was just fast enough to convince you it would work before timing out. The check out time is also unusually early...breakfast is free, but you better have all your stuff out of the room before going down or they'll let you know how much of an inconvenience you are to them. Overall, it's only worth staying there for the price. If you're staying for more than one night, I'd suggest paying extra for something better.”

“If you want the full Bavarian experience, THIS is the place to stay! When we arrived, there where guests in lederhosen drinking beer in the restaurant, which is beautifully decorated with local artifacts such as exquisite banners, etc. Being pet friendly awards it a separate star. The room was small but practical and sufficient. There's no elevator though and some of the passages are quite narrow. The staff is as friendly and genial as your best grandparents from the country. Breakfast was very nice and inspiring, with some local specialities also. It had an unusually wide and high quality selection of tea that was very enjoyable. I could absolutely imagine coming back here to stay a few days, just to immerse myself in the atmosphere.”

“This review is specifically about the restaurant. Vaas has become one of our 'go to' places. Each time we've been there the food has been a completely pleasurable experience! Top notch. The staff is friendly and we always feel treated very well. So, on our latest visit, we left after dining only to find that the battery in our car's key fob was completely dead, leaving us no way to unlock or start our car! It was a cold snowy night to boot. The Vaas staff were amazing, offering various ways to help de-ice and open the door locks manually. After these efforts were unsuccessful one of the staff then when upstairs and somehow against all odds found a *replacement battery for us*.. then even installed it! We were then able to drive home. Their help was truly way above and beyond anything we expected, or ever experienced elsewhere. Thank you Vaas. We appreciate your help so much. We'll be back many times!”
