1220 9 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2P 2C4, Canada

“This is a wonderful park and I was lucky finding it and visiting it today. It's a large, large and beautiful area full of flowers but only few seats. …”

Little Bow Provincial Park

Champion, AB T0L 0R0, Canada

“An oasis amid a pretty barren part of Alberta, little bow offers plenty of amenities at a mostly reasonable price point. Middle parts of the loops do not afford much privacy and this campground can be a real zoo on the weekend so choose your site carefully. The staff ensure the bathrooms and showers are camping clean which is better then most private places I've been to. My only complaint is that the firewood price is bonkers for what you get. This is a great family campground with quiet time at 11pm it filters the rowdy folks to Travers Resivoir where they don't enforce any rules. You can expect to have a great time here if you are looking for a place to listen to the birds, fish or just go for a nice walk. No cellular connectivity unless you drive to the boat launch or the top of the hill which can be a great way to disconnect. The fishing here is excellent as well.”

Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park

Open until 10:00 PM

Unnamed Rd, Lac la Biche, AB T0A 2C0, Canada

“Well treed between sites, lots of trails, excellent sandy beaches but best is early summer (like most of Alberta) the algae gets bad in late summer. 2 playgrounds, large, clean bathrooms, best day use picnic area. XC ski trails and ice fishing in winter.”

Anniversary Park

Closed until 05:00 AM

208 W Chestermere Dr, Chestermere, AB T1X 1B2, Canada

“**Anniversary Park in Chestermere: A Serene Escape Just Outside the City 🏞️** Escaping the hustle and bustle of urban life, even if only for a day, can be an incredibly refreshing experience. Last weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting Anniversary Park, more commonly known to locals as Chestermere Beach, and it was a day well spent. **Waters that Welcome 🌊** While the beach was teeming with visitors, it did nothing to detract from the beauty and allure of the place. The water, a gentle contrast of pleasant coolness against the summer sun, provided the perfect setting for both relaxation and play. There’s something invigorating about dipping into slightly cold waters, and Chestermere Beach delivered just that. **Rain: An Unexpected Guest 🌧️** Of course, Mother Nature has her plans, and our day was punctuated by a surprise rain shower. Yet, rather than dampening spirits, it added a touch of whimsy to the outing. There's an undeniable charm in watching raindrops dance upon the water's surface and feeling those cool droplets amidst the warmth. **Facilities: Thoughtfully Provided 🚿** One of the commendable aspects of Chestermere Beach is its facilities. Having access to washrooms, especially during day-long outings, is a boon. The added provision of an outdoor shower space is a thoughtful touch, allowing visitors to rinse off the lake water and sand before heading back home or to their next destination. **Cleanliness: A Personal Perspective 🌺** While some might have voiced concerns about the beach's cleanliness, my experience stood in stark contrast. The sands beneath my feet felt clean, and the waters were clear, devoid of any noticeable debris. It’s essential to approach such places with an open mind and understand that experiences can vary. **Conclusion 🏖️** Anniversary Park or Chestermere Beach is more than just a beach; it’s a slice of serenity, a haven for those looking to bask in nature's beauty. Whether you're sunbathing on the shores, wading in the waters, or simply soaking in the sights and sounds, it promises a day of rejuvenation. While occasional rain might play spoilsport, the memories crafted on such shores remain sunny and warm, beckoning you for yet another visit.”

Cold Lake Provincial Park
4.6

Closed until 08:15 AM

Township Rd 632A, Cold Lake, AB, Canada

“Tent camped there on 7/7/2023. Did not stay at a tent site because you couldn't park your bike at the site. Booked a normal site. Great place to camp, sites are a good size, very quiet and the showers were clean. Staff was extremely friendly.”

Quarry Lake

( 8 reviews )

Canmore, AB, Canada

“Pretty cool little park with breathtaking views. Right inside the park you find plenty of parking, restrooms, expansive fields with off-leash areas for dogs to run. The lake had really cool amenities such as public life jackets for those to use when wading in the water. The banks were nice and gradual with families all hanging out. The view is of the mountain peak Ha Ling which is what i ended up hiking. So I found myself hanging back in the field to admire a wonderful sunset.”
