Halfway Log Dump Parking
4.7
( 16 reviews )

Halfway, Log Dump Rd, Tobermory, ON N0H 2R0, Canada

“This is NOT the parking lot to see the grotto. We ended up hiking for 5.5 hrs out and back to the grotto and it was a different terrain to do within the alloted timeslot. The hike was beautiful and there were a few spots where we had access to turquoise water without any people around. The view points along the way were breathtaking. Do carry a lot of water with good hiking boots.”

Conestogo Lake Conservation Area
4.3
( 8 reviews )

6580 Wellington County Rd. 11, RR #2, Mapleton, ON N0B 2S0, Canada

“Very clean park. The ride up there was nice and quiet. There weren't a lot of winding roads on the ride there but the scenery was nice. It was nice to see horse-drawn wagons. The beach is small, with lots of parking and camping areas and picnic tables. $8 per adult entry. Overall a nice park. There's a boat launch and talking to someone that was fishing there are good quality smallmouth bass, pike and perch. They say below the dam you can catch brown trout with ease.”

Shirley Blvd, Ottawa, ON K2K 2Z2, Canada

“This is such a great spot! Great park for a picnic, to just to enjoy the nice weather or enjoy the sunset. It’s also a great place to go Kayaking, Paddle boarding & Canoeing. As for swimming, it’s a nice spot but you may not like it if you don’t like feeling seaweed and such in certain spots. But the water’s calm and warm these days. Definitely a go to spot for my family and I.”

Devil's Monument
4.7
( 16 reviews )

Northern Bruce Peninsula, ON N0H 1Z0, Canada

“Enjoyed this far more than some of the more public spots. The hike from the parking lot is a combination of soft forest floor, tree roots and rock, with only slight elevation changes. There are several great outlooks on the way to the tower,.so you won't feel cheated even if you don't go the whole way. This might be the easiest way to get to an overlook of any we've visited in the peninsula!”

Woodland Park
4.2
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 PM

47 Sauble Falls Pkwy, Sauble Beach, ON N0H 2G0, Canada

“I've been going to Woodland Park at Sauble Beach since I was a kid with my family; as an adult I have continued to go with my own family and the experience never disappoints. The park is clean and quiet, the park offers laundry, showers and bathrooms throughout the park which makes the stay easy. Growing up I used to go tent camping and their sites are very well kept, and near a playground if you have children. I now use their RV/Trailer sites and they are also very well kept, well laid out and the added bonus of having the floor leveled with concrete helps to backup your trailer onto the site with ease. The park is also very dog friendly, you will find almost every site has their own dog which is fantastic! Most of the dogs I have run into have been very polite, well mannered with dog savvy owners. Despite being dog friendly, you will find the park is free of dog poop, everyone is very diligent about cleaning up after their pets. The location is the best part, Sauble Beach is one of the best beaches I have encountered in Ontario and the location of the park to the beach is just a 10-15 minute walk; this helps save you time on trying to find parking on the main street, especially during the busy seasons. 10/10 recommend Woodland Park for families staying at Sauble Beach and I will keep returning as my family has for many years. Cheers!”

“A beautiful part of Ontario, where you can go for a long walk or ride along the lake. It is an excellent place to meet friends and their dogs for a wonderful walk and talk! Also great places for picnics bbqing, playgrounds for kids. We try and meet up with a bunch of cairn terriers and their humans once a month for a walk, rain or shine!”

Long Beach Conservation Area And Campground
4.1
( 8 reviews )

12965 Lakeshore Rd, Wainfleet, ON L0S 1V0, Canada

“We loved our experience tent camping at Long Beach Conservation. Staff are incredibly friendly, and accommodating and activities are offered on the weekends. Spot 404 was perfect for us, just steps from the beach below with phenomenal views. There are covered pavilions, a new playground with tether ball, basketball & volleyball. Bathroom was clean. My kids loved playing with the rocks on the shoreline and the shallow water. We also made the very short and enjoyable canoe ride over to the neighbouring free public sandy beach but if you prefer to drive, it is a literally a few minutes away and offers free parking.”
