San Dieguito County Park
4.8
( 8 reviews )

1628 Lomas Santa Fe Dr, Del Mar, CA 92014, United States

“When adults and teens could have their own ‘playground’ a.k.a the sports area, the park is 5 stars for me. Loved the sports area!! But I hope the city will build more courts, as one volleyball and basketball won’t be enough on warmer days. Also, maybe the park would make lower park and upper park connected with cars in the future, it’s gonna be better to enjoy the entire area.”

San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge
4.6
( 10 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

1080 Gunpowder Point Dr, Chula Vista, CA 91910, United States

“This wildlife refuge will always have a special place in my heart. It is one of the first places I took Bahbah when he was old enough to step outside. This park is the perfect place to take your adventurous dog. With many hiking trails and …”

Coronado Tidelands Park
4.8
( 10 reviews )
Closed until 06:00 AM

2000 Mullinex Dr, Coronado, CA 92118, United States

“Great place to watch the sunrise on an early morning walk.”

Harry Griffen Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 07:00 AM

9550 Milden St, La Mesa, CA 91942, United States

“Plenty of parking, huge park with several playgrounds for kids. It can be a little muddy after the rain. There's an outdoor theater near the gate, not sure if they use it for anything. Again, it's a really big park so very spacious for multiple birthday parties going on at the same time. The Men's restroom needs better maintenance and cleaning. The dog park is also nearby but we didn't go over there. Really appreciate those who kept the leash on the dog, especially next to the playground.”

Breakers Beach
4.7
( 8 reviews )

San Diego, CA 92118, United States

“Cool beach on Naval Base Coronado. Was cloudy when we went but so much open beach space, beach equipment rentals and a large parking lot. Will head back and take more pictures when we go and it’s sunny out.”

Border Field State Park Beach
4.4
( 8 reviews )

GVVG+34, Imperial Beach, CA 92154, United States

“Nice under used park with a decent beach, trails, and interesting views of the border wall. The parks currently only open on weekends to cars ($7), but you can park at the entrance and walk to the beach which is about a mile from the entrance. Usually it’s pretty empty including the beach. There is a big area for horse back riding. There’s even a place nearby which will take you out for a ride in the beach. It looked like a fun thing to do. Lots of law enforcement in the area including Border Guards, Sherries deputy’s, and Law enforce the Rangers. I found some of the navy’s trash (manuals) and phosphorus ordinance of some kind. They were a decent size being about a foot long and about 8” around. I thought it was strange that when I reported them to the lady (Ranger)at the entrance she was indifferent. Hopefully they aren’t dangerous.”

Giant Dipper Roller Coaster
4.5
( 10 reviews )
Closed until 11:00 AM

3146 Mission Blvd, San Diego, CA 92109, United States

“Very nice coaster! Awesome even to present day roller coaster standards. Nice dives, high speed (55 mph) and a long ride (2 minutes). The ratteling wood really adds to the sensation. The bounces when cornering are thrilling as well. We went in the morning when the row was still short.”

San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

2710 Manchester Ave, Cardiff, CA 92007, United States

“This is an excellent informational center adjacent to San Elijo lagoon. There are well maintained and easy trails through the lagoon that allows beautiful views of the marsh and the birds that frequent the area. We were here on a weekday and thus the visitor traffic was minimal. This gave us a very quiet walk in a very peaceful setting. We were able to see a good variety of birds during our one hour midday visit. Had we come earlier and stayed longer I am certain we would have seen even more species. Great birders destination but also excellent for adults and children to see the magic of the marshes.”

Tiki Town Adventure Golf
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 11:00 AM

3114 Mission Blvd, San Diego, CA 92109, United States

“I’d give it more stars but when we went, holes 11-16 were closed and the staff didn’t warn us about it. There weren’t any signs either until you got to hole 11. So people were paying the full price and then finding they were only getting 2/3 of the course. Holes 11-16 were not under maintenance, just closed off.”

Kellogg Beach
4.4
( 8 reviews )

Point Loma Way, San Diego, CA 92106, United States

“This is a lovely little hidden gem frequented by locals. It’s not too crowded, and because it’s a bay, it’s really perfect for small children because you don’t have to worry about big surf or undertow. The beach doesn’t have too many shells. The sand isn’t fine, but it’s not too dirty. Kellogg beach is located a few blocks from the end of a coastal pedestrian/bike path, so it’s a great place to visit if you’re staying in the area and can bike in. If you’re driving, parking is very limited, and the beach is a bit tough to find, which is why I think it’s best suited to locals.”

Mission Bay Sportcenter
3.9
( 10 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

1010 Santa Clara Pl, San Diego, CA 92109, United States

“We rented a sailboat for $45 an hour, which was surprisingly affordable, especially when split between four people. Alas, the day we came it wasn't very windy, which isn't great for sailing, but oh well They have a hose for washing the sand off your feet since there's some sand on the shore where you get on the sailboat. They have the based MTS maps there as well which is a nice souvenir”
