“I made an appointment for 12. I showed up for 12. The receptionist then told me that my appointment had been at 11. I showed her the confirmation email that said it was at 12. Turns out their system scheduled me in Atlantic Time for some reason…. They couldn’t take me. The earliest she could fit me in was an hour later, but I had specifically scheduled this appointment during a work break. So I ended up making the trip for nothing and wasting my time. Adjust your system. There’s no reason for it to schedule me in a different timezone if I wasn’t in it when I booked. No empathy either, just a shrug. Edit to address your answer: If there is one constant among the negative reviews (which are not many but do bring up valid points nonetheless), it is the lack of accountability on the business’s part. Or whoever replies. They are mostly defensive and mean spirited. Yes I was annoyed. I booked an appointment and made the trip only to be turned away. Show me one person who wouldn’t be. I suppose I should have said thank you; maybe that would have been satisfactory to you. At no point did I raise my voice, cuss, cause a commotion, “demand to speak to a manager.” I was disappointed which anyone in this situation would be. And when the receptionist asked if I was in a hurry I simply said “yes”, albeit curtly and under my breath, and turned around to leave. Is it rude to say that the system is at fault and this you are? Is it rude to be disappointed? Don’t worry. I have no desire to come back to a place that takes no accountability for its mistakes.”

“I booked an appointment in advance using their scheduling system. I wanted to get a haircut for today (Valentine's Day), and took the last available slot (4:30pm). I had great experiences here in the past, and something that I really enjoyed about this place was the option of booking with experienced stylists (15+ years), 15 minutes for a very good cut. No time wasted. No worries about getting a cut from an inexperienced barber. I always booked with Payman. He is extremely professional, courteous and does a great job. Unfortunately he wasn't available, so I tried my luck and booked with Enzy, one of the only other 15+ experience options. I arrived at 4:25pm and was greeted by one of the barbers. He asked for my name and appointment slot. After muttering "what can I do" a few times, he informed me that Enzy wasn't there, nor would he be arriving for my cut. I was asked if I could reschedule, I said no (I'd driven 40 minutes to get there and had plans) and then he discussed for potential solutions with his colleague. I was told that one of them could cut my hair after the next client, which was to be "in about half an hour". I started to wait and after 5 minutes I was greeted by another barber who showed up at few minutes later. I thought it may have been Enzy, but it wasn't. He told me that the reason for not honoring my appointment was that Enzy was booked at another Newav, and that the it was a scheduling issue. He apologized and told me that someone would cut my hair after the next clients. Why wasn't I consulted beforehand? No call or message regarding the conflict. Was it to be assumed that I could just wait and have anyone else cut my hair? It was at this point that I decided to leave. I ended up getting a last minute cut next door, on 5 minutes notice. I don't think I'll ever return, I would recommend Payman to anyone looking for a good cut, but I'm very disappointed with my experience today.”

“Had a disappointing experience with their cancellation policy. I understand clients pay a full penalty for cancelling less than 24 hours before the appointment. However, they cancelled my appointment just 45 minutes prior on December 31, after I had received a confirmation call and even an SMS to confirm my appointment the day before. Left with no chance to book elsewhere before the New Year. Is the penalty policy not reciprocal? Fairness in such situations is crucial.”

“The massothérapist I had and the same my mother had were terrible! It was like getting oil placed on our backs but not a massage! I kept asking the massotherapist to push harder so it feels like a massage and she said she was at her maximum which didn’t make any sense to me that they were certified. A 5yr old can do the same job. It is a small spa, they have a sauna and floating bath available. Locker room is for one person, cleanliness is 7/10. I would never go back there for a massage, money better spent elsewhere since it isn’t a cheap place either.”

“I had an excellent pedicure with Nathalie recently. She was super gentle but effective and took great precision with my pedicure. I LOVED her massage technique and never had one like that before. Additionally, the chairs are super comfortable The spa is very nice, clean & everyone is very welcoming. Sometimes spas can feel intimidating (especially if you’re not someone that frequents them often) but not this one and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!”
