“I do like this place and I do believe it's a fair entry fee considering everything there is included with the fee. However, I'm sure everyone would agree the prices to buy anything here is way over priced from the tea to the vodka to the food. Me and my cousin got a 180$ bill just from 2 little bowls of soup, 5 tiny dumplings each , half a cucumber sliced with half a tomato, 1 pitcher of tea which is just boiled water with a couple tea bags and 4 shots of vodka. I suggest not buying anything here and only utilize your entry fee.”

My masseuse name is Terry aka Tinkerbell and I recommend her to everyone. She was amazing with my full body massage and facial. “I came here for prenatal massages a few times. I wasn’t committed to any one masseuse and tried a few different people. The prenatal massage here is side lying supported with all the right pillows and bolsters. The masseuses were great and very professional. I had one male masseuse and he was very careful to explain each step. It was very appreciated. All the other masseuses had great technique and adjusted strength to how I was feeling and what I needed that particular day. They took care of all aches and pains during pregnancy and I highly recommend them!”

“My first visit was amazing, gel manicure was stunning, everyone was very nice. Second visit I booked a VIP service which is the manicure and pedicure at the same time. The pedicure was picture perfect my technician took her time and did a very through job. Unfortunately my gel manicure was very rushed and there were many issues. For those who know about Russian manicures, they take some time but are totally worth it. This manicure was done in 45 minutes- first red flag. The cuticles were choppy, each nail was a different size, gel was very thick, a repair on a crack re-cracked after 1 day. I paid and tipped well for each technicians time. I notified the business about the issues with the manicure in a timely manner and was told I needed to pay for a redo. I said I would pay but I wanted a redo so they looked good for the holidays. After reaching out 3 times to book an appointment for a redo, no response. I had to go somewhere else to fix all the issues and the other shop had additional charges for the crack repair and to remove the work done from Brooklyn Beauty Lounge. I was really hoping this business would make things right and I hoped this would be my go to spot but I am left disappointed by the lack of care. UPDATE 12/26/23- the manager of the business reached out to me after reading this review and genuinely apologized for the experience and lack of communication on the part of the front desk attendant. She offered to have manicure done properly which I will accept that offer when I am due for my next manicure. I am giving an additional star from the original 2 star review for the effort and I will update after the visit.”

No wait times, no people around usually, and no Rush, which is the most important for a barber to do. You have to schedule your cut meaning pay for the service, and a time slot before going. The concept is designed to keep the shop clean looking without the hassle of multiple people rushing to chairs and out works. Allot of different services offered here. STRAIGHT hair also cut here. Bring cash in case you want additional services. Two downfalls: 1 if you miss your time, it will new hard to rebook, I suggest calling if this is the case, very possible you can be at a financial lost. 2 only one barber right now, which is good because you want the best person to cut your hair. But this is a service that you have to book in advance. One person can get booked really quick, so BOOK NOW! CUTS are amazing, sharp, fresh, clean, smooth. This is the spot to go get wedding ready, new cloths ready and new date ready. Try Troys great experience.”

“Had a fantastic experience. I called and spoke with the front desk manager who was very helpful with securing me a last minute spot for the weekend. The location is actually quite nice. There is a parking garage next to the business so finding parking is not an issue at all. I would say it's more of a hassle trying to park locally; especially for non-New Jersey folks. I ending up booking the Cut, Wash, Blow and my daughter had a blast. Her beautician was Aura (forgive me if name is spell incorrectly). She was nothing less than amazing. Super responsive to my wife's request and double checking before making the cuts to shape her hair. My daughter had a scalp massage during the wash which really calmed her down. They have TVs so keep your little one focused forward. In terms of cleanliness; I have no issues to raise. My only recommendation for parents looking is that if your child is sensitive to overstimulation or noise; plan your session accordingly since it was a little loud from the kids and the multiple tvs playing at once. Overall - would definitely recommend and will be coming back for routine sessions.”

“WOW!!! What can I say that hasn't already been said by all these amazing reviews! I spoke with Liz (who was so warm and lovely on the first call) to book the couple's Staycation package for my 1 year marriage anniversary with my wife. In true Man fashion, I only called 2 weeks in advance, which for a place like this I was sure would be too short notice. But Liz and her team made it work and squeezed us into the schedule on our anniversary day. I was so excited leading up to the day of the experience, as it was a surprise to my wife as well. When we arrived Liz and her team (shout out to Alyssa, Jae, Sarah!) were so warm and welcoming, and explained how the experience works. It's important to note that my wife and I only get massages on vacations, which is barely once a year, and never really do anything in the realm of 'relaxing' experiences, so we were newbies to how this all worked. We were given comfy slippers and a tour of the facilities, which include rain showers, steam room, sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, hammock, lounge area, and a variety of hot/cold drinks (tea and infused water) and snacks (strawberries, nuts, etc). We spent the bulk of the first 2 hours enjoying the steam room and hot tub. We could only last in the sauna about 3-4 minutes! And then lounging in the sun on the nice wooden loungers. Instead of fully relaxing, we may have talked shop and work the whole time...oops. Liz said if that's what we find relaxing then it's ok (thanks for understanding, Liz!). We applied the clay mask to each other (very romantic) and wife pointed out how my non-use of sunscreen has been affecting my face. We had the whole place to ourselves and it felt like a private oasis. I was wondering if you'd feel strange being essentially in the backyard of a townhouse, but it felt so private and peaceful that it didn't bother me at all. When it came time for the hour-long hot stone massage, we took a quick rinse and laid under the pergola, ready for Liz and Sara's magic hands. They are STRONG! We both felt like jello after, having all our stress melted away (I think Sara called it 'steamrolled' which is hilarious). It lightly rained during the massage, and since the pergola was covered, we didn't get wet and the sounds were an amazing experience. All in all, a truly wonderful experience and I am so happy I found cityWell Brooklyn. Thank you from me and Tiff for being part of our special day. We will definitely be back before the next anniversary!”
