“Today was my second visit to Deep Roots, and I can definitely say that my previous experience was not a fluke. The front reception area and the staff have been so welcoming and friendly both times, and the two RMTs that I’ve seen have been amazing. They took the time to get to know what I was looking for, as well as let me know what their preferred methods are. The atmosphere inside is so calming, and you feel all of your worries fade away once you step inside. Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you; this place is amazing! I would recommend this place to anyone!”

“Extremely friendly staff! And my nails look amazing! Best nail salon I’ve been to in the city! Prices were also very fair. Can’t say enough good things about this place, it’s the first nail salon I’ve been to that I felt comfortable and actually had a great time! Jennie was my nail tech, she’s very thorough and took her time making sure my nails were perfect even though it was nearing closing!”

“The worst barbershop I’ve ever been. I’ve used to have haircuts there for myself several times, but only 2 of 10 were nice. I thought that to make a haircut for a kid wouldn’t be an issue especially for their price range, but as you can see on these photos I was wrong. It seems that his barber was working on my son with closed eyes, because I have no other explanation of THIS. By the way I paid $40 for it.”

This one was incredibly slow and relaxing, and the results on my face and skin are remarkable. My acne is finally calming down. I can't wait to be back and I will be taking my partner as well.”

“I love spending time getting pampered at Aevi! John is a master stylist and always leaves me feeling like a diva, which is no easy task. I've had meni/pedis done by many of the nail techs and all of them are just so lovely it's hard to go to the same one every time but Sab is definitely a standout for designs and fancy nail work. Otherwise, I'm happy to rotate and am usually begging them to fit me in last minute anyway but no one has disappointed. Being able to have a glass of wine while I get my nails done really makes this one of my fave nail salons in the world... yes the world lol. My only criticism, and I'm not sure why, I've had more issues with breakage and/or nail polish popping off (I get gel polish but not fills) here?? If all that weren't enough, the store is also one of the best places to shop for clothing in Winnipeg, especially for jeans and accessories like purses and jewelry. It's pretty chic, and nothing's cheap but cheap ain't pretty!”

“Really clean, regularly maintained facility. Great for a short getaway from your usual at home, also loads of fun for meeting up with somebody new you aren't ready to have in your home (or go to theirs). Two (or more) people who want to get together, but can't host, possibly because you have kids, roommates, or a bed that can't support three adults? Perfect. Even the main floor rooms are adequate for this. Though, the themed rooms upstairs aren't a lot extra but sure do add a lot!”

“The service in terms of friendliness was great. The actual workmanship on my manicure left much to be desired. I don't think some of the ladies were professionally trained on how to apply polish. My 10 year old could do better, and I am being kind when I say that. The polish was uneven, streaky and came off 2 days after application. I felt like I wasted my money. Very disappointed because I like this place.”

“Do not trust them with your eyebrows. I only asked for a cleanup and now one of them is totally butchered and reshaped. I didn't fully notice after she showed me the mirror quickly, but when I got a good look in the bathroom is when I discovered the terrible job. They don't even have a proper salon bed for you to lie down on, they make you sit in a chair at the back of the store all the while your neck is being strained. That should have been my first clue to walk out and say no way. What is even more aggravating is I think the tech knew because one of the other workers started looking at my eyebrows and telling me how nice they are. Really it's my fault for thinking this place would do a good job on eyebrows I guess....”
