The food is on the Michelin guide and crafted with expert attention to detail and flavour. The restaurant itself is one of the most beautiful I've come across, charming and understated. The staff are exceptional - friendly and caring in abundance. The rooms are clean and well kept, but could use some slight modern touches, mini fridge being one, but otherwise extremely good. Atmosphere, staff, food and wine pairing were spot on for a cosy dinner for two. This was our first all vegetarian fine dining experience and we loved it…. so much so we bought the cookbook and will be trying out some dishes at home!”

“This accommodation did have a lot to recommend it, but our room was dirty enough that I will not consider returning. The front desk staff and flowers were really lovely. However, when we walked into our room, it smelled like feet. Fortunately, the linens looked and smelled clean. There was visible mold growth on the shower grout and lots of buildup on the shower head. My biggest issue was the dried blood on the hygiene bags that had not been cleaned up after a previous guest — it was visible from a distance and right beside the toilet, so hard not to see. There was also hair on the floor in the corners of the bathroom. The air conditioning was nice in theory, but it didn’t work. We woke up seriously sweating in the night after it had been running for 5+ hours. It was a short, convenient trip to the airport by car. The hotel restaurant was closed for dinner. The nearby restaurants we tried (recommended by the hotel) served the worst food I’ve had in my 4 visits to Ireland and were expensive. Felt like a tourist trap.”

“Go here if you have a dog and order the hake. Perfectly cooked, creamy sauce and huge pile of mash. I gave 5 stars for rooms but only relating to the side bar and snug as we stayed elsewhere.
