“This was a wonderful experience; the staff, room, and food were great. The hotel was located in a quiet area of Antigua. No heavy traffic noise. We enjoyed our coffee in the morning, looking at Agua from the second floor.”

“Stumbled across La Casa del Mundo 5 years ago while backpacking Central America, and at the time I told myself I'd be coming back for my honeymoon assuming I get married. ||That day came, and we book at Casa del Mundo for four nights along …”

Hotel La Casona Del Lago
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 PM

W4F4+GHQ, Flores, Guatemala

“The location is really good, just a 10 min walk across the bridge to flores island. Other than that the hotel is a bit of a catfish - looks good from the outside, but rooms are very old, beds and bathroom did not feel/look super clean. the pool seems to be under construcation all the time and the breakfast portions are kind of small.”

Filadelfia Coffee Resort & Tours
4.6
( 8 reviews )

Interior Of Finca Filadelfia, Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala

“It was our last minute/impromptu visit to this facility for a coffee tour. Absolutely no regrets at all. The tour guy was very personable and took the time to answer all of our questions. We definitely learned quite a bit in regards to the coffee industry. The tour did include coffee tasting. We definitely recommend this place.”

Villa Bokéh - Relais & Chateaux
4.7

Closed until 03:00 PM

San Pedro Panorama, Sacatepequez. Lote C3, Entrada a Finca San Nicolás, Guatemala

“Luxury hotel with a great garden, spacious and intimate. It s rare to find in Guatemala such service quality. The rooms are spotless, well decorated and full of extra touches that makes the experience unique. However on the flip side, you can also spot some gaps which are lowering the quality and uniqueness of the experience here. For instance, there was a power cut the entire time of our stay which resulted in no light and water (shower/bath) in our room part of the time (they had a generator working some hours though, making a loud ambient noise). They excuse themselves of course but there was no intention to compensate us for the lack of comfort, which is surprising to me for such place. Another example at breakfast, which the fee for the room included: we discovered it was only including the continental breakfast, any deviation from it or suggestion to replace the breakfast with something else was refused categorically and priced fully. I don’t care about the cost, but this gave us a strange feeling of willing to save money on us… Finally, they are organizing frequently events there, which was the case the day after our checkout. Numerous workers were walking around the garden carrying stuff, preparing the event, making noises, etc. This means that our expectation to relax in the garden was cut short by the beehive like activity that day. Overall, a great experience, but not yet worth the price. Still a great place and not even Santo Domingo hotel can compete with it. Last thing: the food is excellent and one of the best cuisine you can find in Guatemala. Congrats to the chef Marcos!”

Peten Esplendido Hotel And Conference Center
4.3
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 PM

1a Calle 5-01, Flores, Guatemala

“This hotel has seen better days! COVID has been hard on the area, many hotels don’t have restaurant service, including this one. Pool was unusable as it was greenish. Lack of electrical power is common in the area and hotels as big as this one have generators; electricity went out and I guess we were among the few guest the hotel had, (they were reluctant to turn it on) so we had to really beg for the generator to be turn on so we could have air conditioning and amenities in the room. Property is still clean and in general clean, but a little bit run down. We did enjoy the beds!”

Hotel Boutique Naif
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 PM

6a Calle Poniente #27 Antigua, Guatemala 03001, Guatemala

“The staff was friendly. Richard was very helpful and was easy to communicate to because he speaks English well. The coffee and sweet bread were very good and the facility was alway clean. The hotel and the area the hotel is in feels very safe. From the hotel there is a beautiful view of the volcanos which was relaxing to look at in the early mornings. I would definitely stay again!”

Hotel Y Restaurante Casa Gaia
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 AM

9 ave Final, Cobán 16001, Guatemala

“I'm sure the place is nice but unfortunately, we never found out because we never made it past the front desk. My husband went in to see if they had someone to help us with our bags and he was greeted with a back and forward argument that he was my Uber driver lol? A friend of mine told us that the place is renowned for catering to us foreigners but God forbid a Guatemalan walks in... racist place, so we'll take our money somewhere that doesn't treat my husband like garbage 🤷‍♀️”

Hotel Casa Antigua
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 AM

3a Calle Poniente #5 Antigua, Guatemala 03001, Guatemala

“We stayed in room 12. Location cannot be faulted but be warned very loud music till around 10-11pm from neighboring bars. Service is impeccable attentive talkative staff happy to point you in the right direction. The main drawback for us in this room was lack of hot water on top of that when it came on it went cold soon after. Second was the musty damp type smell in the room which needs some sun and proper airing out.”

Hotel And Restaurant Casa Nostra
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 PM

Calle Marcos Sanchez Diaz, Lívingston 18002, Guatemala

“A colourful place to stay with a helpful host and neat gardens. Casa Nostra is a pretty straightforward joint. There are decent rooms, there’s decent food, and there is a decent view of the river mouth. The breeze on the deck might cool your food quicker than you'd like, but it is a heavenly relief on a sunny day. The old-world Caribbean charm of Livingston may be under threat from an endless supply of metal roller doors and cheap Chinese goods, but the owner at Casa Nostra is doing a lot to make the village a place to be proud of. If thetoruist streets are getting up down, head up the small street opposite the hotel early in the morning to get a feeling of the real Livingston. If you are heading in the direction of Rio Dulce after your stay, chat with the owner, Stuart, about pick-up from the Casa Nostra jetty. It is way more convenient than the public dock in town.”

El Paredon Surf Camp

WW8G+C5W, Aldea El Paredon Buena Vista, Sipacate, El Paredón Buena Vista, Guatemala

“This is a great place if you are looking for calm environment, nice people and the host, a bit of isolation and privacy and ocean litteraly in a jump from the bed... :) During our few weeks in Guatemala we even stayed there twice as we liked it so much. We lived in wooden cottage with a little basic kitchen which we liked to use. The place doesn't have any AC etc, but it's not necessary, especially for the night. The beds have mosquito nets. However, if you decide to stay there, don't miss a chance to take their PANCAKE for breakfast. Is the best one in all Guatemala (and we had so many of them during our 5 weeks travel...) :) Coffee for breakfast included... And if you like, you can also book for lunch or dinner as they cook that too. Surf Camp is a bit further from other hotels and hostels on the beach which makes it a silent oasis. In the same time, it is just two minutes walk to the local (grocery) stores... There is no wifi, so if you plan to do a little working "from home" there (as we did), go ready with charged data to make your own hotspot or just walk for a coffee or drink to near by locations... Also, there is a church in a close neighbourhood, so especially in the evening you'll have a little cultural insight into never tired worshiping by music and singing... :)”

Hotel Santana

Calle 30 de junio playa poniente, isla de, Flores, Guatemala

“directly across the street is a club/discoteca that plays EXTREMRLY loud electronic music. you can feel the bass while laying in bed. earplugs don't help. impossible to sleep. this esp. sucks if you are exhausted from tours and need to get up early. there is no WIFI in the room.”

Muelle principal Santa Cruz la Laguna Santa Cruz la Laguna, 07014, Guatemala
