“We stayed at this hotel for a swim meet at the Keystone Aquatic Center. The location was convenient to the venue. The complimentary breakfast had a great variety of options- eggs, sausage, bagels/toast/muffins, pancakes, fruit and drinks. Sound carries a lot but complimentary earplugs are provided in the lobby. The room and hotel were clean, overall it was a pleasant stay and we would consider staying here again.”

“Two years in a row I had the pleasure of attending my job's holiday party at this fabulous place. I love watching how professional, courteous, friendly and well spoken the staff are outside of the entrance off of 19th Street AND once you enter the building. They are all standing strategically waiting to help you. You will NEVER see anyone standing blocking the entrance or looking lost at the entrance because the Staff is always right there welcoming you and ready to help you. Lastly my favorite part of this amazing building is one of the beautiful yet steep escalators. If you carefully glance above your head you'll see words scrolling along the ceiling with white lettering. It's not something you see everyday HOWEVER it's a BEAUTIFUL SIGHT. Make sure you continue to hold on while you're going up the escalator because it's steep. This place has become my newest favorite hotel in Philly!!”

“Beautiful historic hotel in downtown Jim Thorpe. Our room was comfortable. The beds were firm but in a good way. Desk staff was attentive. Very close to all the local attractions. Parking is available and the front desk has cameras to let you know what spots are available. My only disappointment was the tap water. It came out of our faucet brown. This would not be a big deal if bottled water was made available in our room but it was not, even if it was charged to my room. We had to go down to the basement and use a vending machine, which only accepts ones and fives. Since everything closes here so early, good luck getting change. We also wanted to hit the pub but it was closed for a private party.”

“This was our first time in Gettysburg and I loved the proximity to everything with this B&B. We were able to walk to everything from Mead next door, an Irish Pub, mass, Starbucks, and tours! It was a birthday weekend, and our room had period art with birthday wishes throughout. We also had both houses to ourselves! Perks of going during a snowy weekend. Things to note: breakfast is not included, but offered for a charge. There are two historic homes, so each room selection on their website should let you know what location. We were in the Welty house. This wasn’t clear to me when we booked on a third party site, and please book on their site. So much easier for them and cheaper for us! Finally, we loved sitting and having tea and coffee, watching our favorite show, and keeping warm while the snow fell. Such an amazing experience. Thank you! PS communication was fabulous!”

“Very nice and clean rooms although bit on the smaller side. Nonetheless, we were able to fit our pack-n-play in for out 2yo, so all good. Breakfast was quite good with nice variety of food and drinks. We really liked the covered connection to nearby Isaac's restaurant. We arrived quite late but they still served us nice and tasty meals. Overall very kid-friendly stop on our road trip.”

“This was my favorite Hampton Inn on the East Coast. The young lady that was at the desk named Grace was totally useless and unhelpful and unaware. Our room was noisy. Went for breakfast at 9am on Sunday and the breakfast was empty and no sign of any staff. We went to Perkins next door instead. I asked the young lady Grace if there was new management and she said yes a couple of months ago. Believe me you can tell. We have stayed there at least 10 times and will not be any longer. Hilton should do more vetting when they allow new owners. Hopefully they will not go the way of Days Inns.”

“Caution: If you stay here on a weekend, make sure you have brunch plans! I was left at the hotel while my friends went to a local event, and only then found out that I couldn't get lunch there. With no other walkable restaurants, I had to get a chicken sandwich and snacks from the nearby gas station, which I ate on the bay windowsill (the room had no desk or table). The staff were friendly, the room was plain but clean. Nice bathroom with an austere shower stall. As a hotel the Yellow House is just fine, but given my experience I couldn't help but knock off a star.”
