“Stayed here for two nights in October. Weather was wonderful. Staff was very warm, friendly, kind, and helpful. Food at the main restaurant was really good, the free breakfast was also great. Location was perfect; views are great and everything in town is walkable. Parking was tight, but plentiful. They even have EV chargers for guest use free of charge. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you to the kind staff for a wonderful stay.”

“Best place to stay in the area! I have stayed at many top hotels in the world and this special place exceeded every expectation I had. Every single detail is so well thought out from the moment you arrive. The service rivals that of many 5 star properties I have stayed at without feeling overbearing. The decorations are special and add such a charming cozy aesthetic to your stay. Catching shuttle to town of courmayeur or to the ski rental shop and lift was very easy and quick. After the ski day I could not wait to return to this hotel as there are many rooms and areas to read by the fire or have a drink and the bartenders are so well trained and attentive. Again, every detail was so thoughtful from the high quality unique furnishings to the attentive and smart service. The spa was fantastic as well! Highly recommend staying here, it is a very special place with fantastic energy. We will be back!”

“Restaurant was pretty good, we went there twice, first time we had pretty good experience other than waiting few minutes for gentlemen that was busy chatting with other workers. Barman had to ask for him several times before he came to register. Second time we didn't get chance to eat in, since we were told they only take guests who do have reservations, which we did not have. It was Tuesday around 8:00pm, slow season (town and surronding areas were pretty empty) and restaurant was maybe 25% full, but not sure about circumstances so do not know exactly why. So for other guest I would recommend them to call in to make reservation prior to visit establishment.”

“A very quaint but also modern hotel in Cogne. Like many of the hotels in Europe, the room is very small. So if you like a lot of space or you have enormous pieces of luggage, this might not be the most suitable hotel for you. But the beds are comfortable, the amenities are luxurious, there is a spa that is free for hotel guests to use and all in all it is a very comfortable and very charming place to stay. The staff are friendly and polite 😁”

“While staying in Aosta, our motorcycle broke down. My dad and I can only speak English, the mechanic could only speak Italian. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to help us in communicating. They helped us look for other options, spoke with rental companies, helped us book an additional night… I can not say enough great things about this hotel. I hope they understand how grateful we are.”

“I stayed in the hotel during a summer trip through the Alps. The place is very well managed. Installation, even though sharing a traditional fashion, were all very in a very good situation, and everything was nice and tidy. The staff was very friendly at all times. I don't speak Italian very well and they were helpful to speak to me in either French or English whatever needed. Last, but not least, the breakfast was always very good and abundant, with plenty of options for all tastes.”

“Yes I am upset! This place is one of the most expensive hotels around and is by far the worst. To begin with, the whole hotel heavily smells of cigarette smoke. Whoever's at the desk, day or night, smokes continuously and even in front of customers and in front of the "no smoking" sign. I don't smoke and the smell makes me sick; it's everywhere, in the lobby, in the restaurant, in the cafe, in the corridors, literally everywhere throughout the building! Second major issue is the air conditioning. They do have it, they just choose not to use it. I am literally sweating in bed while writing this, it is hot and at the price I paid for this room, I deserve to have some air conditioning, especially because they advertise as being fully air conditioned. When I enquired about it, they told me that it was not yet on, because it wasn't summer yet. We're in June and it's boiling hot! From what I heard, they have the same issue in winter with the heating: they have it, but they choose not to use it because apparently they believe it's not cold enough. The third major issue is the cleanliness, or the lack of it. Rooms are old and dirty, the carpet is filthy and I found hair in the bed that did not belong to me and this is absolutely disgusting. I am in the habit of cleaning my room when I go to a hotel and believe me, by the time I was done, the wipe I used was really dirty. Fourth and last major issue is that the cleaners have the really bad habit of storming in your room without knocking and unfortunately doors cannot be locked from the inside in any way. Knowing this, I used a door jammer behind the door, to prevent them from coming in. The next morning not only they didn't knock, not only they opened the door with the key, but when they realized that there was something holding the door closed, they kept pushing to open the door anyway! The hotel is located right in front of the highway, but don't worry you won't hear it, because the river, which is just outside the hotel, is a lot more noisy than the highway. If all this wasn't enough, the shower was broken and I wasn't able to use it. The bed is really uncomfortable, it's not flat, it caves in quite significantly in the middle. The rooms are really dated and even though the place has been repainted sort of recently, it's still falling apart.”

“Enjoyed our stay. Hotel next to the old historic part of the town, which we loved. We could go and explore without having to drive anywhere. There was parking available in a secure underground carpark, with access from the hotel lobby on foot. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. 10/10. 😊 Even though the rooms looked dated, they were fine and had plenty of storage if you needed it, plus a safe. beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean, along with the bathroom, and a powerful shower, if you need pressure washing! Price included breakfast, a very good selection with scrambled eggs and bacon.”

“The white angel has the best ski in and ski out that I have personally ever seen, you genuinely take your skis off at the door. Breakfast is also excellent, with a wide variety of options. The rooms are also lovely and modern, however slightly transparent shower in twin rooms can make it awkward for sharing with siblings! The ski hire has a limited variety and didn’t find the staff to be as helpful as the other ski hire shop I eventually went to in town, but still remains okay. There is a very useful shuttle to and from the town, however other hotels seem to have more regular shuttles. The spa facilities are lovely, however it does cost €20 pp for just the use of the pool/facilities which I would expect to be included in the price of the room. The hotel staff have been very friendly and accommodating. Overall, we have enjoyed our stay at the white angel and would book again.”
