Visited the old town, all walkable, pedestrian streets. Had engagement for the evening and next day late morning. So did not spent much time at the hotel all all. Chambery is a great city, especially the old center near the "castle".”

“Stayed for one night on long journey stop over. It has a very relaxed but efficient feeling. The staff are excellent and friendly. Millions of small children so wonderful for families. The bed was very comfortable and the room extremely clean. Fantastic shower but there was no air in the room and it was hard to sleep. The restaurant ok but the œufs cocotte (favorite of mine) was cooked solid 😔. The local white wine was excellent and the breakfast was amazing. “Lovely well managed hotel within walking distance to the ski lifts. Rooms are clean and well arranged. You'll get a good night's sleep and a good view of the mountains. There's a boot room for the skiers. It's walking distance to the ski lifts (but a work out in itself up the incline). The restaurant is ok. It does a good croque monsieur as a bar snack, a good breakfast buffet and dinner is filling without being memorable. The bar area is a good place to rest with plenty of choices for drinks and some events in the evening (a band or some balloon animals whilst we were there). There's free hot chocolate in the lobby in the afternoon. The spa treatment is ok and the jacuzzi needs to be booked. The swimming pool was quiet when I went and lovely (with a view of the mountain).”
