“We stayed here for two nights on our way from Europe to Mexico. Its a really nice hotel, bright, modern design, pleasant rooms, clean and very well located. Loved the glass bottle in the room that you can fill with filtered water, instead of all the plastic bottles you would normally get. The roof top bar is a nice extra bonus. The only think I'd say could drastically improve is the (non existent) service at breakfast.”

“Absolutely loved our stay here! The location is perfect for accessing downtown restaurants and shops. The hotel restaurant was actually really tasty for breakfast. The rooms were comfortable and clean when we arrived. The only thing we noticed is that it took housekeeping a long time to get through the rooms. We left one morning and they were cleaning the room next to us and when we returned later that afternoon, ours still hadn't been cleaned.”

“Loved staying at The Strawberry Inn. We stayed in the Guest House for a girl's weekend. The house is very cute, clean, and cozy. We enjoyed getting away, but also having the convenience to our activities in Strawberry, Pine, and Payson. Windmill Coffee is conveniently located in the same parking lot or our guest house kitchen also came equipped for our use. All of the Strawberry Inn staff that we met were so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to stay here again!”

“Great location in the heart of downtown. Close to everything you’d want to be near and in a very safe neighborhood. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a refrigerator (but no microwave) and great views. There’s a restaurant onsite and two bars as well as Starbucks coffee. Starbucks was only available until noon which was a disappointment, and the bar hours were very inconsistent while we were there which was an additional issue for us. Other than that, our stay was fantastic and we’d definitely stay again.”

“wonderful place to stay. stayed for couple of days. everything is good. clean rooms, nice location walkable to the old town, decent breakfast and excellent staff above everything else. they can improve on few minor things such as the guest laundry dryers are smaller, the breakfast time on special days like new years eve etc can be increased by 30 mins or so. The lack of elevator also means that if you have a lot of luggage you will have to lift them by hand.”

“Tony and I checked into the Hampton Inn during our 2 wk Bucket List trip across the US. This hotel is Fabulous! The staff we met was amazing! The hotel gorgeous! Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was so comfortable. Loved every minute of our stay. Used the business center for some printing and the laundry services for a quick load. $1.50 for each wash and dry cycle. Definitely would stay again and recommend. Free wonderful breakfast both Hot & cold!!! Can't beat the prices plus you earn points with your Hilton Rewards!!!”

“This place was just OK. My favorite thing was the room size and my least favorite was the service. We had the suite and it was big. I only paid $100 for this room so I wasn’t expecting much but the size was impressive. Otherwise the room was dated, but clean. Some missing paint here and there, the toilet didn’t quite flush right, old carpet, but it was acceptable. The service was definitely lacking. From the service without a smile at check-in to the weird breakfast janitor who playfully but aggressively scolded my infant for eating messily, everyone we interacted with seemed like they hated their job. This place really needs to get itself together service-wise. It’s cheap but I’d skip it next time. There’s lots of other choices in Phoenix.”

“I truly wish I was kidding, but this hotel smelled like farts. I was there 4 nights, and when I walked into the lobby the first night I assumed there was some plumbing issue going on. I soon realized that wasn’t the case—the lobby and the elevator just continuously smelled like farts, and it wasn’t subtle. Thank god the room didn’t smell or I would’ve had to leave. Other than that, it was not great, but acceptable. I picked this hotel because it had a decent rate and included breakfast. Unfortunately, the breakfast was practically inedible. The room was not as clean as I’d prefer (the disposable cups were confusingly dirty, etc.) but overall it was acceptable. I will say the staff was very nice and helpful, and staying near the airport is good if you’re in the area to hike as you can get out of the city quickly in the mornings. But I wouldn’t stay there again, mostly because of the unfortunate smell.”

“My review is for the restaurant only, not the hotel as we did not stay there. After reading the great reviews me and my girlfriend booked a reservation for breakfast which we were really excited for. Upon entering the Inn we were immediately greeted by an unfriendly lady sitting at the top of the stairs asking if we had reservations. I told her yes and she said come up here with an attitude and proceeded to sit us down. This same lady had an office next to the bathroom on the main level, I am not sure if she is manager or owner? But she certainly needs a lesson in customer service. The food was okay, nothing great or spectacular… certainly not 4 or 5 star worthy. The potatoes were hard and not very good, the bacon was overcooked, the omelette and French toast were good. What did make me give this place an extra star was the service from Luis, he was superb. The lady at the front should take lessons.”

“I’ll try to be fair here. First, the good: 1) Karla is really nice. Most of the staff is really nice except the one woman who was just okay and seemed kind of irritated. 2) The rooms and facilities are very clean. 3) I thought the mattresses were perfectly firm. 4) The pool and hot tub are nice! (Indoor!) 5) Decent breakfast buffet. Better than most. 6) Its a short walking distance to good food. “The Place” in the strip mall across the street has amazingly good breakfast. Nicolos pizza across the street going the other way has excellent pizza and beer. There’s a couple taco places nearby that smelled amazing but we didn’t get a chance to try. But there’s a not so good side too: 1) The breakfast buffet coffee is pretty bad. 2) Noise is an issue. The walls are thin and you can hear everything with just normal activity. Our last night a family of five checked in with super loud kids who finally went to sleep. But they left the TV on all night and it was like having the TV on in my room. The hotel is very close to the train tracks and the trains run frequently and 24/7. 3) The location is not what I had expected. It’s near a pretty industrial part of town across the tracks and on the edge of a residential neighborhood. If you’re looking to be near historic Flagstaff be aware this isn’t close. It’s about a 10 minute drive. There’s nothing overly charming about where it’s situated.”

“The water pressure was weak, and the shower head was very high, I assume, for the taller customer, which is nice. The heater, once it got to temp, would blow very cold air into the room. These two reasons get them a 4 1/2 . Outside of that, the room was great very roomy and clean. Plenty of towels had an issue with tv. The desk clerk was up quickly to fix. The breakfast area was amazing it was very clean, the food was hot, and the pans were full. Coffee was kept full. The lady that was working the kitchen was on top of everything. We haven't seen a breakfast area this well taken care of in a couple of years. Food is usually cold/warm, empty pans, dried up eggs, or gravy. We've seen guests look at food and leave. I give this lady a big thank you for making the stay that much nicer. She obviously takes pride in what she does. Based on this, if we know of anyone going to Flagstaff, we definitely will direct them to this hotel.”
