“We stayed at the Hotel Paal 8, on the north coast of Terschelling, and loved our stay. I'm attaching a picture I took from our balcony, overlooking the North Sea. The beach is a very short walk away, and the whole area is gorgeous. We had one of the two-bedroom apartments, so we had a balcony on two sides of the hotel -- one facing the sea, and the other facing the inland dunes, both simply entrancing. The restaurant is also fabulous -- we ordered dinner from them every night (and ate it in our dining room).”

“I do not recommend the hotel to anyone. The rooms are dirty and smell like corpses. One afternoon, when I entered my room, a strange figure was lying in my bed. The staff made a mistake and gave the room to another person. This guest was not bothered that my suitcase, clothes and other things were there. They gave me another room with great difficulty, which I had to leave after two days for a third room. I will never come here again. Phew”

“Great location, close to the ferry and main street. Friendly staff. Super spacious apartments and very clean. Sufficiently stocked kitchen for making basic meals. Well-organised pool reservations (30min booking per family/room per day. The only thing I will keep in mind for future visits is to request a room on the upper floors. If you get a ground floor room, be ready for running children, doors slamming, conversations passing by or at reception. Also, the "window" of one bedroom looks out to the hallway. Light sleepers beware! Other than that - it was a great stay.”

“Super nice campsite, even at this time of year (Christmas-New Year's Eve) the place is open. The sanitary facilities are open and very clean. Despite the constant rain over the last few days, the place is super dry and you don't sink into the mud. The contact at reception was super nice and accommodating, we'll be here for a few more days and will enjoy the time. We can only recommend the place and will definitely come back again.”
