“The rooms and hotel are very classy, I loved my old styled room. It did have a television and some other modern equipment. The service was top notch and the staf are very friendly and internationally minded. The location is good, the only thing that I disliked was the lack of parking. There are only a few free parking spots outside the hotel. Food was what you would expect from a bar, just fine. The crowning jewel of the location is the whisky bar! That in itself is worth the visit. There are a lot of whiskys to choose from and the staf have the roght amount of knowledge.”

“We were really pleasantly surprised by Residence de Eese. The site is amazing. There's an air trampoline, a big outdoor pool with a separate smaller pool that was perfect for my 3 and 4 year olds. There's a considerable indoor soft play, and a mini carousel. There's ponies, alpacas, an emu, guinea pigs, and various birds. There's a mini train. At least 3 play areas. All included. Very few cars on site so my kids were whizzing around on their bikes. It's surrounded by woods so we had a lovely day walking in the woods, and another day visiting Giethoorn. We're now back in Oxford and my kids keep asking to go on the 'bouncy pillow'. Accommodation was nice and provided hand soap, teatowels, dishwasher tablets, etc, and also a fully equipped picnic basket which was a nice touch. Only drawback was checkin/checkout. We had planned to arrive around 6, but got a phonecall at 2.30 on Sunday asking if we were still coming as checkin closed at 4, so we had to abandon our afternoon plans and jump in the car. We tried to check out at 7.30am (ferry to catch), but not only was the office not open there was no box or slot to deposit the key, I left it balanced on the door handle. For such a large site I think they could work on having later/more flexible check-in.”

I have to say I was really impressed with how the staff handled such a large group and how the kitchen staff managed to cook such good dishes with practically everyone ordering something else. I ordered the pork belly and the duck breast which both where excellent prepared. Had the cheese instead of desert and was expecting some mediocre cheese but also there I was wrong with some challenging heavy hitters that smelled and tastes awesome. Would really recommend stopping by here as prices where more than reasonable. Ended up paying ~50 euro per person for three courses including wine and port.”

“A beautiful converted farm. Which you can visit either with carvan/ camper or rent a room in the converted barn. Beautiful views. Many walk routes through the local forest. Village is about 10 min drive which has every convient store you will need. 20 min from city Enschede for more shopping needs. This farm is child friendly, has a lot of space to run around, and a playground with swings and trampoline. My kids loved it. They have their farm dog named Joep, who waited nearly every morning for us to get up and play with him. There is a possibility to have breakfast in the communal area, which is cosy and welcoming. There is a Dutch word for it : gezellig. We loved our time here and it is highly recommended for a family or people who love the outdoors.”
