“Rooms and amenities are great! Breakfast was good. Location is great if you plan to hit the bars. HOWEVER during my stay water service was shut off from 9pm one day to 5am the next. I was not notified prior to the stay or during check in. …”

“Enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Austin Motel, thanks to its incredible service and prime location. Despite the rooms being small and a bit plain, their unique character adds charm. Be aware, the walls are quite thin, so it’s easy to hear the neighbors. Highly recommend for summer visits to make the most of the inviting pool. It’s a great spot to have fun with friends. Would definitely visit again!”

Firehouse Hostel

“Mixed feelings, because it is cheaper than most anywhere else, though the $38 per day parking nearby offsets that if you have a car. Location wise, it's great to walk to places, and there were good people to talk to in the hostel, but I ended up checking out early due to issues that prevented me from sleeping: 1. This is located right above a bar that plays music very loud, and if you have a dorm on the second floor, you are going to have a rough time sleeping at night even on a weekday, even with ear plugs with how the bass carries. If this was the only issue, I would get over it and just sleep from 2:00 in the morning until 9:00 or 10:00. 2. With 8 people in a room it can get pretty muggy, and the ventilation doesn't seem to keep up with the level of humidity, so the windows have to be opened at night, which leads to all kinds of traffic noise... I wear earplugs every night, but that close there's not much that helps. 3. Some guests in the hostel may need to be interviewed about whether or not they have stayed at a hostel before, or have the front desk emphasize that you should not be on a phone call at 6:00 in the morning, or laughing at YouTube videos that you watch on your phone. Two of the guests in my dorm did not seem to understand that. 4. Blackout curtains, and curtain rods... Almost all of the curtains in the room let in plenty of light, making mornings after a late night difficult as mentioned in the first point... Not only that, but one of the curtain rods is falling down in room 201 which lets even more light in. I really appreciate the staff there, they answered my questions and helped me check out early. I needed my own space and didn't want to risk additional nights with issues in other rooms. Perhaps a bit more detail on some of the rooms or arrangements based on people's desire for sleep versus staying out late would be helpful going forward for people making a decision to stay here.”

Hampton Inn & Suites Austin-airport

“I've stayed several times at this hotel and I'm usually in their King Studio room which is pretty spacious and very accommodating with everything I need. The bedding is always comfortable the rooms are clean not fancy the Furnishing is a little dated in my opinion but nevertheless for the price point the rooms are nice. I'm only there on business so therefore I am not looking for entertainment but it doesn't seem to have anything close by for entertainment and not many dining options close by but that's not an issue for me. Several other hotels are right next door as well. Free parking which is nice and convenience location to where I need to go for work. The breakfast is pretty good they have a few options the waffle is nice.”

“I enjoyed staying at this location, mainly due to the cleanliness of the room, the amenities on site and the excellent breakfast. Service was decent and there’s a lot of parking too. Located right off the highway but not too loud.”

Comfort Suites - South Austin

“I'm giving this review 4 stars mainly because I think the hotel needs some maintenance updates- fresh coat of paint, refresh the bathrooms...etc. Our room was very clean and comfy but I just noticed a few maintenance things like our towel hook was missing, the water pressure in the shower was poor, and overall the carpets and the walls looked like it's just been awhile since an update. Overall, good place to stay if you are running around touring and just need a place to sleep.”
