“Recently had a meal here to celebrate my 30th, on arrival there was a sign wishing me a happy birthday! (Thought this was a touch of class!) then to be taken to our table where there was a card from the staff to wish a happy birthday!! This was very thoughtful and genuinely very much appreciated. The staff were prompt, kind and very accommodation for myself my wife and my daughter, making us all feel very welcome. The chef (Connor) came out and made such an effort with our daughter that he even made up a plate of broccoli for her … to us this meant so much! Now on to the FOOD!! Nothing shy of incredible! Honestly I would put it down to be one of the best meals I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Value for money I would say it hits the nail on the head for an all around experience. If I could rate it more than 5 I would!!”

My sister said they received the warmest welcome and were immediately made to feel at home. We booked in for a meal for 11. It was absolutely fantastic. It had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable . The staff were all very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had the wake there and they put on a decent spread with delicious homemade cakes and homemade quiches made by Meg, who organised everything with care . It's the perfect size for an intimate occasion. The location is about a 20 minute walk to the centre of Yeovil , which suited us as it was 5 mins drive to the crematorium. We'd definitely stay here again !”

One of the waitresses nearly broke the bottle of wine as she slammed it onto our table! and the other waitress was just rude… we said we weren’t quite ready to order but were told, you need to order now!! We appreciate that it’s a busy time of year but it doesn’t hurt to crack a smile!! So anyway, we’ll be heading to The Swan next time, as we’d rather pay double the price and actually feel welcome!”
