“Decided on a last minute get-away to Rockport--in the wintertime---and LOVED it! The Cove was a perfect choice! It was directly across from the ocean with a beautiful porch right outside of our door and windows, where we sat with blankets, drinking our coffee each morning! We also took walks up to the top of Bearskin Neck and stopped for breakfast at Brother's Brew Coffee House to start our day(s). The room was bright, had a wonderful king size bed and large shower! The mini fridge and microwave were a bonus! As much as it would have been the PERFECT place in the summer, it proved to be equally beautiful and relaxing in the winter!! We liked having the place (almost) to ourselves, and the on-site free parking in the lot next door (accessed by a walking path) worked out perfect!! Perhaps we'll be back next NY's Eve, as well!! (If not sooner!) The service was all done remotely which we found to be no problem, but if you have difficulties with technology or prefer hands on assistance at a hotel, the wintertime may not be the time to go. I'm assuming it may be different in the summer/spring?”

“Stayed one night at this location. Rooms were clean but had to put up our own shower curtain on the rod (surprising!) Then, strangely enough, when we turned off all the lights and were in bed, there was active light on the bedspread, maybe static electricity? Very strange. Breakfast was super, staff was very friendly and helpful to get us coffee. In the morning, during typical checkout time, no one was staffing the front desk. Keep up the good work, and take care of your employees as I am sure they are hard to find these days.”

“Me and my husband came in September for our anniversary. The room had hair on the phone and on pillows. One pillow case had some slobber on it, terrible. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable, so was the swimming 🏊‍♂️ pool. It was a Nicety experience, bad for anniversaries.”

Guest services are excellent- from providing personal touches at check in to the warm baked goods available in the kitchen if you are looking for a small bite. A difficult place to leave.”

“Beautiful place and area. Got a room on the top floor. It was pretty and clean but small. The skylight was nice! My two biggest complaints are parking and the shower. Very few parking spots and they even said there are more rooms than they have parking spots. So that was kind of a hassle. Maybe the showers on other floors are different but I wouldn’t know. The shower was terribly small. The shower curtain sticks to your leg. There is no room to move and I’m not a large person. I do have long hair and the water pressure was also bad. The shower head was high and I am short so it was difficult to wash my hair. The breakfast was decent. A few basic options. A lot of things in walking distance which was cool!”

“I have been coming here for many years. You can not beat the view and location. The hotel is located right on Long Beach. The prices are very fair for the view plus the rooms. I would avoid the kitchen rooms because they are cramped and the beds are super uncomfortable. They have wheels meaning any time you move the entire bed does too. But the other rooms are good and well decorated. I have found some small stains but the staff will gladly give you a new sheets or towels. Although they aren’t fancy, each room has a balcony so you can view the ocean. I do recommend coming here if you want to have easy access to the beach and enjoy the view. They serve breakfast in the morning, coffee and donuts. They got rid of the danishes.”

“Best hotel ever. It doesn't even need a pool to be great. Just being in the heart of Salem is enough. The rooms are amazing and unquie. The vibe of the hotel is amazing. I can't wait to come back this year! I have stayed over 6 times and can't wait to come back! The manager, Zach, is literally THE best! 11/10 hands down my favorite hotel!”

“The service is good, but the room are outdated and sub-par. The lighting is awful in there, so getting ready is a bit tricky (if you need to put make-up on) - though it's not as much of an issue in the large suite. The bed was pretty comfortable. Convenient location to Davensport. Overpriced, which is common for the area in September/October.”

“Stayed here for 2 nights during the Halloween weekend. The room was clean and comfortable. The property was easy to find and well maintained. Staff was friendly, especially the lady serving breakfast. The fitness center was smaller than expected but I was able to at least get some cardio done in the morning. There was a breakfast buffet each morning from 7-10 which was quite nice and better than expected. Overall this would be a consideration if ever traveling this way again.”
