“We recently celebrated our anniversary this past weekend at the Thompson Chicago and from the moment I stepped foot into the hotel I was taken care of. Both front desk agents Jasmine and Damazo went over and beyond to make sure we had the most amazing stay and celebration. We ended up selecting the King Corner Suite which was very spacious with a great view. The bathroom was probably one of my favorites with stairs that led to a huge soaking tub overlooking the city. Everything was very modern and up to date! We'll definitely be returning and highly recommend the Thompson Chicago!”

“I’m highly disappointed in the front desk, concierge. They were so rude over the phone. My birthday is tomorrow and I was really look to booking. I called because the website lets you review room and check availability. I called and spoke with the agent. When I inquired about booking she mentioned an application prior to. I said okay and started to ask about the membership cost because I didn’t see it online and that it allowed me to start the booking process. She interrupted me while I completing my sentence. I asked if I was able to book without the membership, she hangs up the phone. I called back. She answers with “Hold please”. I’ve waited and the. She ask did I need , I began to explain my birthday is tomorrow 9/29 and if there was the membership cost. She interrupts me again stating “It’s on the website did you read it?” And responded with “And I just said I didn’t see the membership cost, did you hear me?” I will take my $350 come where else. That lady was just rude. I don’t understand how when I’m about to spend my hard earned money. Smh I’m pissed”

“If you have a large truck or vehicle, the indoor parking garage will be tough to maneuver. Other than that, this place is a phenomenal hotel with great customer service. The security system have in place is nice and ensures safety. Lastly, the city view for the indoor pool was great. I’d definitely go back and I recommend.”

Pool area is small and was taken over by kids so we were not able to use it at all during our stay. We were given a room upgrade since we were staying there for a quick anniversary getaway. “This is becoming our go-to hotel for Chicago area travel. It's difficult to find a place for a family of six to stay in one room but we have enjoyed the suites here on more than one occasion. Our 2-Queen Suite has a kitchenette with a full fridge and a true closing door between the room with the sleeper sofa and the room with the queens. That has helped make our stay so comfortable. The bedroom also had a ceiling fan which really helped the room feel fresh. Like any hotel I recommend bringing some kind of air freshener, because scents waft between rooms, and something like a small aromatherapy mister to help add moisture to a dry room. The breakfast was varied and quite good. The omelettes in particular were surprisingly good for the complimentary breakfast fare.”

“This picture pretty much says it all. This is a cockroach that came running down my room door frame at the Marriott Residence Inn. Disgusting. To add some context, I stay at Marriott properties a lot. 200 plus nights a year. I’m an ambassador elite member. Many of my stays are in residence inns. Many properties, like this one, are dated and old and a bit dingy. But this is the first one that I’ve actually had cockroaches in. To make matters worse I don’t think they even cared at the front desk. And by the way, if you want any coffee better get there before 9:15. Despite the fact that breakfast is available till 9:30, I couldn’t get coffee after 9:15 when they decided to stop serving. Naturally, I had no intention of eating anything at this filthy place, because of the infestation, but I would’ve liked a cup of coffee to go. Hard pass.”

We saw the Claridge had availability still for the night we were staying in town and booked the room right away. Trever & Cookie were exceptional at check in and made us feel so special and welcomed us to Chicago. We loved the shared spaces and location of the hotel as well as the room! That night they offered wine taste in the lobby where were were able to meet Lea, the Director of food and beverage who was absolutely so wonderful! We will definitely be coming back to stay again!”

“We had our wedding here in June of 2024. The whole experience was great! Big thank you to the event planners!! We went to roughly 7 other venues and after our first meeting with Krystyna we knew this was the place. Super helpful and accommodating, hosted 300+ guests with no complaints. The day of, everything was taken care of and the event staff really pulled through making sure the venue was exactly how my wife and I wanted it. We opted for the white dance floor, which looked stunning, and lasted the whole night. Last but not least, the dinner was just as good, if not better, than our tasting! We heard many our guest complimenting the food during and after the reception. The venue also works with local food and pastry providers, so if you don't have someone already, they were a huge help contacting and helping us get extra sweets and apps. All in all would highly recommend the venue. Highlights: -Food was great -Venue looked like we wanted it day of, the staff really paid attention to detail -Plenty of communication beforehand to iron out any details -Prices per plate and bar were reasonable, especially post COVID -Staff was all hands on deck the days leading up and the day of the wedding getting things setup and making sure it was perfect, which made our day that much better.”

“Each of the front desk employees I encountered were helpful and courteous. We arrived early and they were very kind when arranging to hold our luggage. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We did try out the hotel restaurant when in need of a quick bite to eat. Food was pretty standard, it gets the job done. There are conveniently located bus and train stops nearby, making trips into the city easy and affordable. Stayed here for an event at the United Center, which was within walking distance. Hotel is a bit pricey but I figure just about any place near the city would be as well. All in all I enjoyed the stay.”
