“I was taken along with my daughter for my first afternoon tea by my wife. We were treated to a wide selection of sandwiches and cakes, as well as tea in fine china. There was a warm welcome from the reception and the waiting staff who engaged warmly with us throughout. There was so much food the hotel staff offered to wrap the excess so I was able to enjoy it all again later in the evening. I would thoroughly recommend the Rosslea to anyone.”

“I have been to the hotel 2x this summer and arrived on a yacht both times. I used one of the hotel moorings. This was easy to find. Stunning location. Easy dinghy ride to shore. Hotel is really cool and welcoming with nice classy interior. Caters for locals, visitors, shabby yachtsmen. The bar is friendly with chatting folk. Fish and chips was the best we have ever eaten. Incredibly fresh fish with crispy batter. They fitted us in even though they were fully booked. Guitar on the wall for people to strum. Highly recommend!!!”

“Hard to put into words how special this place is...and it has nothing to do with the fact that this Isle is my namesake. The staff at Coll Hotel were some of the kindest people I've ever met in my entire life, so personable and willing to accommodate any need or request. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous inside, the rooms were clean and sizeable with incredible views of the bay and garden patios, and the restaurant and bar service and food were unmatched...literally the best seafood I've ever had, and I grew up in Hawaii! So fresh, and presentation was stunning. I actually asked if there was some sort of chef competition going on or a renowned food critic on site, it was that amazing. But that's just how they do it every day! This is a very special place and the staff are incredibly talented at what they do. I cannot wait to go back and hope to see all the kind staff there again when I do! Such a welcoming community. Isle of Coll and the Coll Hotel...hands down my favorite place on the planet of earth. The Coll Distillery located just steps from the hotel was a bonus attraction! Thank you a million times to all the staff at Coll Hotel...keep doing what you're doing and I hope to see you again soon!”

Clean hot tub on the patio was relaxing in the rain. The spa amenities steam room, mud room, sauna were clean and refreshing. The fairie garden walk along the coast was a bonus! “This hotel has a great location, great staff, great food but very overpriced for alcohol. The downstairs of the hotel is great. Clean and very functional. Unfortunately our room this time was a massive let down. Whistlers. As it was last time too when we stayed in Pigs Paradise(I think that’s what it was called). The hotel has changed hands I believe since we were last there but nothing else seems to have changed. While the bed itself was comfortable the decor left much to be desired. Very tired and a TV would have been good. The shower in particular was in need of a deep clean. The carpet in the bedroom desperately needed a good Hoover and clean. Definitely not worth the £153 asked.”
