“Location is a bit dodgy if I am honest. Walking from the metro to the hotel you pass plenty of hobos and dive bars. Service wise, all the staff were amazing. The room was clean and comfortable, but for some mould stains in the bathroom. Early check-in is not available, to my disappointment, however reception is more than happy to take your bags whilst you burn some hours until check-in.”

“Staff where really friendly and helpful, arrived early but stored our bags no problems, and key card was waiting for us when we came back. Was given a map and tips on where to go. Room spacious and clean, only down side sound proofing not great this was only an issue on the last night as couple next to us very loud from 3am to around 7am, would defiantly be an issue for more than one night. Breakfast great as long as not expecting a full English. Bar great served an amazing port and tonic”

“Very good location by the Douro river. The rooms are spacious and very well maintained. The breakfast has a good variety of options. The staff is helpful and attentive. One thing to improve is the punctuality of the bar’s opening times: they closed 30 minutes before the announced time on a weekday.”

“At Hotel Internacional in Porto, our expectations were significantly let down, especially considering the price. The bathroom’s sliding door was so difficult to operate that it was practically unusable for children. The breakfast was underwhelming for its price range, notably lacking daily bacon for the scrambled eggs, a feature we’d expect even in a hostel. To our dismay, we discovered online that we paid 50% more than the current rate. When addressed, the reception’s response was dismissive, citing “flexible rates, bad luck for you” with no attempt to resolve our dissatisfaction. This lack of customer care overshadowed the hotel’s only redeeming feature: its central location. It’s a visit we won’t be repeating.”

“Very clean, cozy, and the hostel personnel are very friendly. AND you get a free porto glass :) Definitely would recommend it to a friend. Also right in the center of Proto so very practical. Was worried about the bedbug reviews but it's actually one of the cleanest hostels I've been to.”
