Its rural, green setting just 20 minutes outside of Bologna's city centre and its stunning swimming pool provided the perfect downtime from the hustle and bustle of the city. The restaurant was excellent (so much so that we ate there every lunch and dinner) and was always busy with locals which is a good sign! All the staff were incredibly friendly too. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Relais Villa Valfiore again and would absolutely recommend it to others!”

“Our stay at Hotel Touring was spectacular! The hotel atmosphere is inviting, modern yet old world, and warm. It is conveniently located and is walkable to many sites, resturuants, and shopping. The staff is helpful and courteous. Special shout out to Julia, Marco and Elena. Their professionalism and knowledge is, bar none. They were always willing to lend a helping hand. Which we truly appreciated. We were celebrating our anniversary during our stay, and without our knowledge the management upgraded our room to a junior suite, with a lovely terrace and beautiful tapestry ceiling. If you are traveling to Bologna (which I highly suggest you do), Hotel Touring is the place to stay.”

“Very nice but I can only rate 3 stars because of the overuse of air fresheners. Every time I went in the room the smell was overwhelming and some of the bathrooms even had two! It is not healthy to breathe in the chemicals and they were not even necessary because the place was well ventilated and clean. I would strongly recommend removing all of the air fresheners and fragrances. They make the place smell worse than without them.”

“Stopped here for a night en route to France and England. It was very reasonably priced around 54euros including breakfast. First impressions last, I didn't have a reservation and was tired from driving and just walked in, the receptionist (Hanna) was extremely professional and spoke excellent English which made everything easy. Within minutes I was checked in to a nice room which was clean and more than adequate for the price paid. I was hungry also and they had an excellent restaurant restaurant next door and I tried an authentic Italian dish which I had never had before...Pacchero with seafood. After that lovely food I enjoyed a peaceful night's rest . The breakfast although not extensive was lovely with things I like...different types of croissant, fresh fruit, an amazing choice of cakes and because it's Italy ...fantastic Coffee. What a way to start the day. Free Parking outside also. Would recommend this place. So convenient for the motorway.”

“I would not recommend staying at this hotel! We had booked the most expensive imperial wellness suite that included it’s own gym, balcony, office, dining spaces etc only to find upon arrival we had been double booked and they could only offer us 2 interconnecting rooms for us and our sons instead. These rooms were bog standard, dated old rooms which was frankly embarrassing considering what we had booked and the money we had paid. We were only offered a complementary dinner as compensation. The reception area is nice and so is the breakfast room even though breakfast was just ok, not much choice but fine. Nice quality toiletries provided. Close to train station but half an hour walk into the main area of Bologna for dinner etc. we would close a closer hotel in the future. Upon leaving we had booked a taxi for an early morning flight, only to find that the receptionist had booked it for the incorrect time. Luckily we got another taxi quickly otherwise we could have missed our flight. Just another thing that would make me not stay there again.”

“The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was OK, but a bit small, and a couple of things were in need of a fix (a light switch, the shower's sliding doors). There were free parking lots, but not that many, and the access to them was very narrow, it took me quite some steering work to get out of there with my estate car. The location is good if one needs to visit the industrial area near Borgo Panigale, otherwise it's wuite far from the center, more than half an hour travel time by bus. Lines are also not too many, the last bus runs around 1 a.m., so I had to get a taxi to get back to the hotel. Overall OK, but depending on your budget you can get better.”
