“IT'S NOT ALWAYS SUNDAY The location could be misleading, from the outside it looks like a classic farmhouse in the hills, the choice to place various stuffed animals in the place is very characteristic, one would expect a nice meal based on game..... AND BUT NO. I quote directly from the site "traditional Emilian country cuisine", as a first course, orecchiette, cherry tomatoes and pesto. On the other hand, my grandmother was from Cassano nelle Murge (BA) Let's move on to the seconds, unfortunately. We are passed off roast wild boar as boiled beef, and wild boar "cutlets" (it takes a vivid imagination to believe it). We were made to choose as dessert whether we liked a panna cotta or a passion fruit sorbet (clearly KmO as they say on the site), then in the end the panna cotta was not available so the choice was forced (on the other hand I am not a fan of democracy), therefore an excellent sorbet. Friendly service, very smiling staff who managed to calm down the meal, despite a bit of chaos in identifying the dishes that were brought. Bill: I expected to spend a little more, at least with this I say I am extremely satisfied and it was the something that reflected the site. I forgot to mention the cold cuts and cheese appetizers because they forgot to bring them to us. All in all I didn't eat badly; I just had completely different expectations”

“This is a classic Italian hotel, with a fine entrance and spacious reception rooms. The rooms are functional but not remarkable. This is all about the bellmen, who make everything happen - first rate service. And one little touch recommends this hotel particularly - when I left behind my spare trousers, not only were they found and kept for me to pick up at reception when I came back through Modena, they had also been washed and pressed at no charge. “Great hotel! I can agree on some other people that the hotel is basic, but it is great being in it! The rooms were clean and the breakfast was great! The staff was also very friendly as well, and were very good in English, which made communication a lot easier! The only downside was that the walls were I guess a bit thin, so during the night we did hear some noticeable noises, but apart from that, we had a nice stay! :)”

“I stumbled across this hotel when I needed accommodations last minute in a remote area north of Modena. I was traveling alone and I got a better rate for that reason 77euro a night. I’m so lucky to have found this location. The staff is superb, very attentive and kind. When I went for breakfast they proactively made up my room. The food was good and the entire hotel is immaculate. I worked with two people at the front desk who were patient, appeared very happy and had great pride in their services. The staff let me check in very early and anticipated my every need. They really went above and beyond. I wish every hotel experience was half as good as what I was fortunate to find at Hotel Pico.”
