“The hotel staff, room and amenities were excellent and commendable. However, my vehicle was returned by the valet with a significant crack in the windshield and covered in bird feces. I was told by the attendant that my vehicle was garaged overnight which the evidence does not support. I filed a claim and was informed a manager would contact within two days. I have yet to hear from a manager, have my valet charge refunded or be reimbursed for my cracked windshield. Very, very disappointing.”

Fun technology is packed into each living space. The rooftop area has great city views and is accessible by asking a helpful staff to grant access via the elevator. “We spent a week at the Hotel Majestic in one of their King Suites, Room 408. What a charming hotel and so perfect for our needs. The location is excellent! Only a five minute walk into the heart of Japantown and surrounded by plenty of shopping and dining. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the room clean and spacious. The suite has plenty of light and a separate living room and bedroom, which do show the age of the hotel, but the full bathroom has been updated. Water pressure was excellent and the hot water ample. You can hear other guests moving around and traffic, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper like me. The TV had plenty of channels from which to choose. The breakfast buffet included make-it-yourself waffles, eggs, sausage, breads, fruit, yogurt, cereals, coffee, tea, milk and juice. There's even a small gym in the basement. Our only complaint is about the computer and printer available in the lobby. The computer was working, but a bit slow, but the printer wasn't working and the keyboard and mouse needed to be switched out as they stopped working as well. Luckily the front desk staff were more than happy to print anything we needed. Would highly recommend!”

Building is a traditional San Francisco Victorian style. If you would like to experience the old architecture and boutique hotel services, this is your place. I will not be trying any food, drinks or ice in this building based on the cleanliness of the rooms. Also have mention the walls and floors are so old and thin I can hearing my neigherbors from all sides. Front desk staff is the only redeemable quality. Do not let the “boutique” lobby fool you, it’s a run down less than basic SF hotel.”
