“Overall our experience at this hotel is nice, though there were a few things happened that were not so satisfying: Room: there’s a lot of dust and white fur (like it’s from a dog?) all over the floor, not sure where they came from. Housekeeping: our Gucci paper bag that contained receipts, a shoe box and some additional accessories was taken without notice, had to call the front desk to retrieve that. Service: was charged an additional fee after we checked out (also w/o notice), called to ask what it was for and the lady said we toke drinks from the food bar, which we didn’t. Overall, spacious room and really kind people but these 3 things we listed out seem a bit inappropriate.”

“Absolutely amazing hotel. We were greeted by a very lovely front of the house lady who did our check in for us. Our room was very spacious, well equipped and cozy. The hotel had an amazing view of the harbour. There is a laundry room which we used, extremely handy, both washing machines and dryers all clean and fairly new( you need coins) There is a gym as well, lovely sitting area with a terrace upstairs and downstairs, there is a little shop with all essentials that you may need( laundry detergent as well), a restaurant with a waiter-robot :). But what really made me very happy about our stay in the hotel was the gluten free bread and rolls during breakfast. As a coeliac- thank you so much. I don’t get much gluten free hotel breakfast experience so I am super grateful. It is also worth mentioning that the airport bus stop is behind the hotel and it is a 10-20 minute ride which is super helpful. All in all we had an amazing stay, thank you to all the staff for their hospitality.”

“Stayed for 3 days for a vacation, amazing place! The view from the hotel is incredible, and we loved the historic feel. The restaurant food was to die for, and the room was adorable!”

“The Oasis Guest House was a perfect base for us to explore Boston on our short stay as it is located near a metro station and just a short walk away from the Back Bay train station and Logan Airport shuttle. We stayed in the budget room with a shared bathroom. The room was basic, but more importantly it was clean and safe. The shared bathroom also posed no issues and there were always enough towels and toiletries. The breakfast included was simple but absolutely appreciated! It saved us possibly 8 or 10 dollars a day and allowed us to start each day without a search for a cafe. The staff were very helpful whenever I emailed regarding payment or check-in, and we were able to leave our bags with them before our flight that evening. Our only slight downsides were a gap under our bedroom door which left in some light and noise from the corridor, and the room getting slightly cooler at night (although extra blankets were available if needed). The price is slightly more than I have paid for similar properties elsewhere, but compared to Boston's hotels? This was excellent value! I would definitely recommend this location for anyone looking to explore Boston from a safe and clean base!”

The Charlesmark Boutique Hotel

655 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116, United States

“I stayed here last night when travel delays meant I wouldn’t be able to get home to Providence. Booked it on Hotel Tonight, not sure if that gave me a lower rate but it was very reasonable. Even checking in at 2:30am, staff was friendly and helpful. It’s very convenient to Back Bay Amtrak. The check out time was noon and free breakfast (coffee & croissants) went until 11, so glad it was later than many hotels considering my late night. Being at the hotel also gives a discount at the attached restaurant which serves brunch. Room was basic but had good temperature control. Soaps smell good, but I wish hotels would switch to refillable bottles instead of travel size toiletries. I noticed they have DVD/VCR set-ups in the room & one of the reviews here mentioned they have movies available? If I were staying longer, I’d love to check out that collection, great idea for a hotel. This area is very good for shopping and restaurants. In my untrained opinion as a semi-local, I think you could have a good time with this as your home base for sightseeing around Boston.”

“Staff was so helpful, they let me check in really early so my friends and I could go out to lunch together without my luggage. They even made an excellent restaurant recommendation. Coffee in lobby could have been stronger but I appreciated …”

Home2 Suites By Hilton Boston South Bay

“My favorite hotel in Boston hands down. The service is the best I’ve had at any hotel. Joe at the front desk was so kind and accommodating. Truly the best front desk employee I’ve met, and I travel a lot. The hotel already is clean, accommodating and luxurious on its own but Joe brings the experience to a new level! Will come back soon.”
