Went for our honeymoon and made this known to them but nothing was done to make it feel a little extra special, as other hotels that were less than 5 stars did. You are charged a daily fee for using the pool which was off putting, as the nightly cost is already high. The bar food was really delicious, better than the restaurant food menu. Great place to relax but felt like something was missing service wise. It was great having a gym on site.”

“We spent two days here over Christmas. The proximity to Arles and the in-house restaurant were the main attractions for us. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and accommodating for our kids. The family room was perfect for us, although there is a steep staircase to the second bed/bath. Given the season, we didn't get to utilize the pool and other outdoor facilities. Overall, I'd definitely recommend if you're in the area for a few days.”

“Due to some flight delays, I didn't arrive to this hotel until almost midnight. When I arrived, I expected a 24/7 reception. Despite having sent an email informing of my late arrival, there was no one at reception. I called the posted after hours number a few times with no answer. Couldn't find any info about a late check in. Eventually called the after hours number again, got an employee who came out to the lobby to assist. He told me I hadn't paid yet (which was true - I booked a pay on arrival room). He told me he couldn't use the card machine so I had to either bank transfer him or pay cash - this seemed quite odd, but he told me I couldn't get my room unless I did this. Luckily another employee happened to be walking by (off duty), and eventually sorted it out for me - saying I could pay in the morning. It turns out the initial gentleman was just an emergency maintenance employee. Overall, the issue got resolved, but it was quite concerning that I wouldn't have a room, and should have been publicised that check in closes at a certain time. The rooms themselves were average, but didn't seem the cleanest. Bathrooms were a little dirty and sheets didn't seem to be properly washed. Overall it was manageable for 1 night, but I would probably not stay here again.”

Specially appreciated there are a lot of hand crafted details in the interior: the bathroom with curved divider wall and mirror frame, the wooden panels to shade the lights from the window, the metal handles…enjoyed the view on our terrace. Breakfast has limited choices but good quality. Friendly staff. Lovely horses! Pros: - The bed is large, 180cm. And comfortable. - There is a tower heating in the bathroom, super handy! - Mosquito net on all windows, can sleep with open window to feel the wind, AC wasn’t necessary. (AC is Fujitsu, and TV is Toshiba, good brands) - Kettle in the room - Clean, deep swimming pool - The restaurant building (authentic style) has a lounge to play chess Cons: - We found one used sock(pantie?) under the bed - The sitting area in reception and restrooms are full of dirts and spider nets - Could hear motorbikes noise from the road in the room - Commercial/ unauthentic toilette products (made in Germany?!) will hope to have Provence soap instead. Also those small bottles are not “sustainable” as the hotel categories itself - Small packages of commercial brand marmalade on breakfast table, will wish to have some artisan ones from the region instead.”

“The hotel is situated conveniently waterfront on the harbor. Our room 602 on the top floor did not having outward facing windows. We did have two skylights to provide plenty of natural light during the day. There were automatic metal shutters that could be closed to prevent any unwanted sunlight in the morning. Our room slept two adults in a full , almost queen sized bed. Our children were thrilled to stay in the bunk beds. Our family had room 603 next door. It was comfortable with a full sized bed, along with a day bed that converted to a large twin. There was a couch and a courtyard facing window. You could view the Marseille Notre Dame Cathedral.”

“The hotel itself is nice and new. The room, for French standards, is big and open but our room (208?) unfortunately had a bad smell of sewage from the bathroom. We did say it to reception and they were very nice. First they offered to go and spray air freshener as they had no other rooms. While we were out they did this and must have realised the smell was bad and we weren't being complainers. When we came back the girl called us over and said they had another room but it was an accessible room so we decided no. We were only there one night and when the aircon was on/window was open, it did get better. If we were staying longer it would be an issue though. Also be careful with the paper cups, I used one for a cup of tea and the water came right out the bottom as there was a leak. Thankfully it was down on the table but that's seriously dangerous with boiling water. I'm giving it a 3 mainly for location but also because of the room issue. I've never been to Aix so I didn't know this was so far from the centre of the town and it's not a picturesque walk. It's lovely but just a bit far.”

“Considering the price for an off-season stay, I would have expected a bit more. Specially the bathroom seemed quite small, I'd say the shower can't really fit "bigger" people. Also, it didn't seem that clean or maybe it's just like that from all the previous use. The bed and balcony were okay. The staff was nice and the location of the hotel is really central, nice restaurants are within walking distance, same for nearby parking. We enjoyed the spa area which was included in the price. Overall, I can recommend this hotel if you manage to get a good price. During season peak perhaps other options get you more for your money.”
