“Cattlemans Steakhouse is an eating experience that if you like steak is a must. The service is great with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The food that is produced is plentiful and high quality. The best bit about it is that you finish cooking the steak yourself on the very hot lava rocks and in doing so you are able to cook the steak to your exact liking. Starters are immense. The ribs I ordered were so tender and flavoursome that I nearly ordered more to go with my meal. Will definitely go back when in the area.”

“It's a great location but you do need to walk a fair distance if you can't get food at the location. There is a pub there that serves food but again we couldn't get a table due to some black Friday event. When asked when a table is available they said an hour, being of ill health I didn't want to wait so long. They didn't give any warning they would be fully booked up that day. The staff again do the bare minimum, one room the lights were not working and we asked could they fix it, they said they would and it never got fixed. We needed a bath mat as the tub is slippery and we had to go get it and they had to go look for one. The shower water kept going hot and warm which was annoying. They said it never is like this. If it wasn't the location with the nice views I probably go somewhere else. The breakfast was good all you can eat but it was basically 10 pounds. Not cheap but it is what it is. We booked an extra night and after the first night our cards stopped working. We got new cards and had to do more paperwork which I found a bit odd. Anyway if you have a high tolerance for such things stay here. If not maybe find somewhere nicer for the money.”

We loved the beautiful hotel and the very comfortable rooms and facilities . Paignton itself is also looking spruced up since our last visit and we enjoyed walking along the beach, Promenade and shopping areas. Plenty of nice bars and restaurants that also allow dogs and the harbour area is particularly pretty at night. We'll visit again”

“A old style hotel with nice sea views. We had originally got room 3 which had one of the outside lights shining into the room and made it like a night club. When we spoke to staff they already knew about the issue and said it was waiting a blackout blind in the room and let us move with no problem.
