“AMAZING STAFF! AND HOTEL! Stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks. The hotel is so clean, comfortable and friendly. The staff are amazing. So friendly and can not do enough to help you and make you feel welcome. Mel the assistant manager was so helpful with everything I needed as I didn't know the area and could not do enough to help with that and all inquires. So polite and friendly. Genuine kind manager which is so hard to come across! The bar and restaurant staff Cindy and Terri I had the privilege of meeting was the same. Lovely and friendly. They could not help me enough to help to make my stay feel so welcome and comfortable. Food was absolutely gorgeous and beautifully presented, breakfast and dinner i enjoyed thoroughly. Well done to all. 5☆ for staff and hotel. Would and will stay again.”

“Really quaint, romantic room with 4 poster bed and antique furniture. Lovely and warm and en-suite had a bath as well as a shower. Staff very attentive. Food in the restaurant was delicious. Lounge and bar area had beautiful paintings and old beams and copper top bar. Only negative is the £10 a night car parking fee which seems excessive”

“The staff were very helpful. The issue I want to take up is that while we had a wheelchair accessible room, when we came down to breakfast, although the restaurant had a ramp, there were 2 sets of steps to get down to breakfast! It may be that there was an alternative entrance(I was using my walker, thankfully!). When we asked about gluten-free the menu they bought was so small, I couldn’t read it. I just want to say that it feels like you’re not being included.. I.have Parkinson’s and things are very bad sometimes, please don’t make it harder. Shower was not disability friendly either”

“We have stayed her over the past 10 years in excess of 20 times. It has always been consistently good value. Reliably good nights' sleep every time we stay, a value-for money evening meal in the restaurant, and a very decent breakfast (which is actually excellent value considering the low cost and we love the fact that porridge can be ordered too). When we stay with wider family we have had interconnecting rooms and it has been really helpful, allowing grandchildren to sleep in one room whilst grown-ups chat in the next room with the doors between the two rooms open. Chris in the restaurant has always been a joy for us.”

“Beautiful old coaching Inn in the heart of the town. Very good restaurant which you need to book. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Very good service in the bar and restaurant. The room we had was a "spacious room "with a super king bed, walk-in shower and tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast is really unbelievably excellent, top quality ingredients and very helpful staff to serve it. I'd give it 10 stars if it were possible.”

“We had an afternoon tea at Reigate Manor, a gift from a relative. The staff were very nice and attentive. But if you wanted to sit outside you were facing a car park, as you were in the lounge. The decor and colour scheme looked a bit dated. I think they need to employ a decent interior designer. The sandwiches were rather thick for an afternoon tea, and a bit basic. Regarding the cakes, I don't think that baking was one of the chef's strengths. But as I stated earlier, the staff were lovely and made you feel very welcome.”

“If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you to everyone at Denbies for a wonderful weekend. Everything from the wine tour to dinner through to the rooms and breakfast was perfect. We added the pooch package to our stay which consisted of a bed, towels, bowls and treats for our little dog. The food was outstanding and of course, the wine was beautiful. “We had our wedding here in late November last year & from start to finish we were absolutely bowled over with how professional, friendly & caring the team were with us & all our guests. Our wedding co-ordinator was Callum, & although he is also the manager of all the hotels in the group, he did his upmost at all points for us & was always at the end of the phone! We can’t thank him enough, he was the most amazing person to deal with! The hotel itself is beautiful as are its surroundings & the staff that looked after us there were fantastic!, couldn’t fault anything! We actually stayed for the weekend in the sister hotel - Alton House Hotel, which was equally as lovely, this worked really well for us as Callum organised mini buses for the very short journey between the two hotels & our guests loved it!!
