We booked a last minute trip to Chicago and we were connected with Ryan. He gave us so much great information about the town and what to do - we had to make the trip to the Long Bar just to meet him! We are so glad we met Ryan! He was helpful, knowledgeable, suggested beers and drinks. It was such a great time. We felt we were treated as friends - even family - and not tourists. It offers sparkling water and still water for free. The female restroom offers good quality tampons, sanitary napkins, sanitizers, etc. I've never seen a female restroom that has this thoughtful touched just in case of emergency. I was in a group of three and my friends ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and my other friend ordered the taco salad both have reported that the food was amazing. The atmosphere has a nice Chicago feel to it. A lot of nice pictures and old memories of the business and how it started out as a business between brothers it’s in a very nice area with lots of foot traffic.”

Too bad this location is closing :( I ordered exclusively the award winning stout/porters and they were all great. Banana Foster: Get!! This is the best one and puts all the other ones to shame drinking side by side. Just so perfectly smooth, sweet, full bodied, and treats you right. It'll make you go for another round with no regret....except that it definitely packs a wallop ABV-wise so... maybe you will regret it lolol. Service: Hit and miss I came 40 minutes before closing and talked to someone at the bar. It was the bar back or bus boy because he seemed speechless and lost and continued cleaning/mopping. Eventually found Adan and my night changed for the better from there haha. Adan was so amazing and energetic. Appreciate him for such a great night”

“I've been here three times in two weeks. The food and beer are great. And what makes this place really unique is they play vinyl all the time. No TVs, and the music is more obscure. And vinyl, as I've said. I've never been anywhere else like this. I don't live in this area but I will continue to come back for the food, drink, and interesting music in an enjoyable atmosphere. The Oktoberfest deal is also worth it: 6-dollar beers, four take-home cans, and a mug. I feel like a tourist.”

It was a weird night for all of us though so chalking that up to just a day. Rueben was good and balanced well, but could have had a bit more on it. Fries were really good. Husband and sister god wraps and said they were decent. Overall, a lovely space with decent food. Would be a good place to have a hang and chill with a cocktail.”

“Pay attention to your credit card receipt at this place. Kitchen was closed when we got there so my husband had 2 drinks that were on special, I had one. Our bill came out to $11. I tipped $5 cash on top of what we paid on a card which was $11. Two days later when I checked my account I noticed I was charged $20. I called the Pub 72 Friday night whoever answered just took a message. So then I called Saturday morning talked to a manager. Explained to her what had happened. She says she will speak to her brother and I would get a phone call by the end of the day or by the morning the next day. No call back.”
