“We visited whilst the craft fair was on. There were stalls and live music on at the brewery tap. Very good beer and there is an outside area with benches. Seating inside as well. Parking is on the car park for Whitby abbey which is only 5 minute walk. Free parking Nov - March but charges apply outside this period.”

“We visited after a recommendation from the campsite owner we were stopping on. We had cycled to the pub and as we sat outside the heavens opened and torrential rain. Poured down. Very kindly the gentleman behind the bar said we could bring in our bikes and sit in the walkers bar. A great space with stone floors. We decided to have food and we were not disappointed. Fantastic food and the prices were very reasonable. When back in the area will be visiting again. On the bar they had cask ale and a great selection of gins. Would highly recommend as very friendly staff, friendly regulars, very accommodating and the food was fantastic.”

“We stopped for a pint at The Queen Inn on a sunny Sunday afternoon in August. We received a very warm welcome from the bar team and ordered our drinks - which we found were very reasonably priced. They also produce a range of their own beers, and it’s nice to see the equipment as you enter. The pub has an abundance of outdoor spaces, as well as some undercover outdoor seating too. It’s a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the sunshine. We didn’t eat but the food menu sounded great, and I’ll certainly be back to try it myself soon!”

“Best pub in Shoreham-by-sea. A fantastic selection of beer at very reasonable prices. At my last visit it had around 8 cask beers (pales, stouts, IPAS, a slightly odd one and a delicious pale that is brewed exclusively for the pub). They also have keg beers. A highlight is the wheat beer. They serve everything in appropriate glassware. The vibe of the place is relaxed and friendly, it's a "proper" pub with a mix of ages and drunk levels! It's USP is the live music which is most nights, the beer garden is also lovely.”

“Great brewery space and great beer. The beers are always good and the space is always clean. Getting there early is a good shout as within an hour on a weekend it can get super busy. So far the three or four times I’ve been, they’ve always had some good food trucks too. (make sure to check on instagram before hand to check what food is on)”

“Came back again after few months, no table booked, restaurant packed and despite that, we were accommodated to the bar area. Waited a bit for the food, but it was worth the wait. Staff friendly as usual, fish and chips still one of the best but I would also recommend the gammon steak: really juicy and tasty. We will definitely come back !”

The place is a super late Victorian pub but with the most fantastic Art Deco windows, simply amazing. The ceiling is also stunning. A great privilege to be able to have a beer with these people.”

“Stopped off here on a long walk from Beccles, lovely place close to the river and very peaceful. Had the filled baguettes with side salad and tortillas with a side of chips - baguettes were lovely but the tortilla crisps were tasteless and dry - maybe change to basic salted crisps? All said, really nice place to refuel and the staff were all lovely ☺️”

“Just over a week ago we had the best day celebrating our wedding here at this beautiful hidden gem. We honestly can’t thank Karen the two Rich’s and all the team that worked that day enough for giving us a perfect and memorable day. From the first time stepping foot into the pub, meeting Karen and the team I instantly knew it was going to be a place that would be special to us forever. The day was full of fun, laughter and delicious food (if you like a big portion you certainly won’t go hungry here ☺️) I can’t believe the day has been and gone 😭 we want to do it all again and we wouldn’t change a thing about it. “This is an amazing cosy pub nestled just off the main weymouth highway in chickerell. Came for work but stayed to have my lunch here... The smell was so nice as it was being prepared, I couldn't help myself. The very friendly staff had everything well in hand preparing for the start of the mid week carvery... Very polite and professional This pub is Dog friendly with treats and beds for the dogs to use while on site 🐶🐾 The Turks head has huge range of wines on offer to suit all tastes... Aswell as all the usual tipples. Refurbished last year to a very high standard, very tastefully decorated and as usual I was privy to go behind the scenes... the kitchen was spotlessly clean and the multiple chefs were busy preparing a fantastic array of fresh food for the carvery deck. Really worth a visit if in the Weymouth area... I would highly recommend.”
