“I've been here three times in two weeks. The food and beer are great. And what makes this place really unique is they play vinyl all the time. No TVs, and the music is more obscure. And vinyl, as I've said. I've never been anywhere else like this. I don't live in this area but I will continue to come back for the food, drink, and interesting music in an enjoyable atmosphere. The Oktoberfest deal is also worth it: 6-dollar beers, four take-home cans, and a mug. I feel like a tourist.”

“It's very difficult to beat their $5 pizzas. I enjoy going there Monday evenings. However, the wait could be 30-45 minutes all because of their unbelievable $5 Monday pizza deal. Wednesday 70 cent wings are too good to be true. This place is a gem. Good to average food at phenomenal price. I always struggle to spend more than $10 on food each time I visit this place!”

“Food was absolutely delicious, I had the corn beef rueben and I highly recommend it. They brought out cute water jars for the table. The only issue was trying to find our server when we needed her for our check and a box. But otherwise food and atmosphere are great. Sweet potato fries definitely needed some cinnamon brown sugar tossed on them to make them excellent otherwise they were dry”

“This local watering hole is a classic hang out for the blue collar Westsiders of Rockford. The drinks are inexpensive and can't be beat, and are served by friendly (but take no sh!t) bar staff. They even have decent Scotch. The pool tables have just been updated and they now have a full food menu. Thursday nights and nights when they have live music are great there with an old school biker crowd. Friday nights tend to be more of a younger, urban crowd with a DJ playing a variety of music. If you're looking for an inexpensive, everyday person bar experience that may be a bit rough around the edges and short on frills, but has plenty of personality, give this joint a try.”

“District Brew Yards offers a unique beer tasting experience, allowing you to sample different brews until you find your favorite. Their food offerings are also quite delicious. My favorites are the Nashville hot chicken and the grilled chicken wings. During our last visit, the place was packed, but we managed to find outdoor seating and enjoyed a few drinks. However, the long line for food forced us to find an alternative dining option across the street. Overall, it's a great spot for beer lovers. The outdoor patio is particularly lovely during the summer.”
