The ride to the venue was action packed, our time there at the lake was fun, with activities for kids and adults like paddle boarding, fishing, birding, swimming. “So glad we did this! My husband and I were visiting from DFW and I wanted to find an activity that was unique and came across Lone Star Riverboat tours. Very affordable, even better. Bring your own snacks and drinks, although they did have some canned drinks for sale. Captains DJ and Robert were friendly and humorous. We sat on the top deck but there's an enclosed 1st deck as well, which I imagine is great for colder days. The tour was an hour, left promptly, and returned promptly; great for a tight schedule. Definitely recommend for a different type of excursion in Austin.”

“My husband and I are on a mission to tour all the light houses in Florida. Today we took the time to drive down and visit the Hillsboro lighthouse (which is only open once a month) and we did not enjoy our experience. We went for the 2:00 tour and expected a tour. It started raining a little (lasted maybe 15 minutes) and instead of getting 2 hours off exploring we were told only 15 minutes. It was a little rain not a downpour. Then when we were there the volunteer staff was not friendly. All they were interested in was rushing us out, putting their tents down in, and putting the merchandise away. My husband tried to ask questions, and they ignored him. It says there is a museum but no one informed us or guided us. It’s like they were all trying to just get home or watch football. It’s not worth 35.00 a person. If they knew that they were going to only give us 15 minutes they could have told us that when we purchased the tickets and we could have decided if we wanted to come by another time we can make that decision. Overall very disappointing. Don’t waste your money.”

Go on the 3p.m. tour in the late summer, early fall if you can. That is when temps make it perfect for gators to warm up in the sunshine because the water is a bit too cold for them.”

When we first reached the boat we were greeted by the staff which were very friendly they made us laugh continuously while we waited on the line which by the way was pretty quick we boarded 15 min from the time we reached. We entered the boat got our seats by the window and the trip began . Great music by DJ. Nice captain and the rest of the staff was extremely accommodating to our every need.
