Chapultepec Lake
4.5
( 8 reviews )

Av. Grutas, Bosque de Chapultepec I Secc, Miguel Hidalgo, 11580 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico

“Great place to take a boat ride, walk around the area and eat something. There are ducks, fishes, turtles and a variety of birds in the zone. You can rent 2 types of boats which are not expensive. Entrance is free. Restaurants are not near by but you can go walking. Nearby bathrooms were not working properly so I had to walk to the other ones at the other side of the lake. Amazing place to go on a weekend, you can also have some picnic in the grass near the lake.”

Área Natural Protegida Estero El Salado

Av. Francisco Medina Ascencio 3544, Villa Las Flores, 48335 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico

“This place is truly amazing. Sadly they don’t get that much publicity because they closed down during covid times. But now they’re open again and tours are free (before it was 300 peso per person). (Please be sure to tip your guide as they don’t get their salaries on time and they mostly survive on tips.) It was an amazing experience, one of the best activities we did on our trip. The tour is 40 minutes, they take you on a boat on the river and the guide explains everything about mangroves and how they’re important to the ecosystem. You will get to see crocodiles, native birds’ nest and also red crabs. The number and email on the website was not working at the time of our visit, they told us that it’s an old website and they don’t get enough funds to make a proper website. They offer four tours on Tuesday to Friday (9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm) and three tours on Saturday (9am, 11am, 1pm). No reservation required you can just show up. PS: All this information is from the time we visited Puerto Vallarta in August 2023. Things might have changed be sure to check it out before you go.”

Scuba Diving Cancun
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 06:00 PM

Blvd. Kukulcan KM 3.5, Kukulcan Boulevard, Zona Hotelera, 77520 Cancún, Q.R., Mexico

“**Highlights** We got to experience seeing wildlife with two dives - observing natural coral, large sea turtles and fish. The instructors, Daniel and Alberto are fantastic, sweet, and very patient. **Recommendations** Definitely go to scuba diving cancun online, and book through the website. On the website, you can add the date that you want to dive and if you have diving experience. It is best to really pay attention to the instructor during the debrief and practice your skills while at the shallow end of the beach. This will help with nervousness and anxiety. If you are a person that gets motion sick easily (like me) take a motion sick pill at least an hour before taking off to the first dive. The boat can get very rocky especially when waves are strong. **My Experience** With instructors like Daniel and Alberto, you are sure to have tons of fun. Even though I was paying attention, I was very nervous doing this for the first time. The best thing for me was to get out of my own head. The instructors really did a wonderful job of being guides. You can tell that they love what they do because they are very careful about maintaining customer safety. After such a pleasant experience, getting to see all this great wildlife, I would love to experience the water like this again. Snorkeling is great, but scuba is a complete game changer. Do it, especially with these guys!!!”

Fundidora Park
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Open until 10:00 PM

Avenida Fundidora y, Adolfo Prieto S/N, Obrera, 64010 Monterrey, N.L., Mexico

“Fundidora park is on the grounds of an old foundry, converted to a beautiful public place. There are plenty of things to do, all day. You can rent a bicycle (or bring your own) and ride the long trail around the park. There is a small lake where pedal-boats can be rented to explore the lake. This is a popular public park and always well-attended. The walk ways are in pretty good condition for walking or biking. This is a great place to relax and spend an afternoon.”

Pok Ta Pok Golf Course
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Open until 06:30 PM

Pok-ta-pok 29, Kukulcan Boulevard, Zona Hotelera, 77500 Cancún, Q.R., Mexico

“Don't play here, the colfcourse is in a bad shape. Fairways are like rought and the course is not well looked after. Bald spots on greens and bunkers are like solid rock. Some of the flags where broken. Range is poor and the layout is bad. Golfcart was like 20years old and the tailpipe made a sound of a gun being fired. The rental clubs where very old and in a bad shape. There was no toilets on the course anywhere. The greenfee is about $90 that is way too much for this course.”

Chico´s Dive Shop
4.1
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

Francisca Rodríguez 103, Zona Romántica, Emiliano Zapata, 48380 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico

“Had such a great day with Erick and Augustin. Erick was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to all the group members. He showed us lots of wildlife,Ike rays and turtle and cool fish. They also took the time to stop and watch a humpback whale on our way back to the pier. Definitely calling him up when we go back to PV.”
