Barnwell State Park

Closed until 09:00 AM

223 State Park Rd, Blackville, SC 29817, United States

“Beautiful state park built by the CCC in the 1930's. Needs work on the spillways. Campground road needs repaving. Campground needs anew bathhouse. More RV sites would be nice. We camped here twice this trip. Going south and returning north. Campground full on Saturday. A group of Scouts with their families put the primitive camping area to good use. It was great seeing families enjoying this park. On Tuesday and Wednesday just 6 to 8 campsites being used. November 7th and 8th.”

Lake Murray

South Carolina, USA

“Love this lake. Lots of room for busy boating days. There are several waterfront places to eat, Marina's to fuel up, and ramps to put your boat in. Several campgrounds along the shoreline too. We stayed a week in a lake house in July and loved our stay. The water appeared to be pretty clean and well kept everywhere. There were several beachy sandy areas to pull up to and rest or cool off. We are from TN but the drive was well worth it. Great lake overall.”

Closed until 09:00 AM

1145 State Park Rd, Windsor, SC 29856, United States

“This is a great spot to camp, we've done so twice now in @Ramona_the_airstream . Campground is near, nestled in the pines. Bathrooms are decent, clean, and good hot showers. I love the natural spring there! I fill my water bottle on the way out every time. Delish. Also, we rented kayaks to float the river which is also a really neat experience. There's an easy walking trail from the campground, but that's it. More hiking opportunities would be neat.”

Little Pee Dee State Park
4.4
( 8 reviews )

1298 State Park Rd, Dillon, SC 29536, United States

“We love staying at the state parks and this one didn’t disappoint. Well maintained sites a small trails I didn’t use the bath houses The ONLY complaint is all the lake front sites were “reserved” for our stay. Unfortunately well over half were no shows. I really think that state and national parks need to have a no show policy we run into this problem often”

Lake Aire Campground

4375 SC-162, Hollywood, SC 29449, United States

“We were lucky enough to visit this place in July 2023. The folks in the office were super nice and gave us lots of interesting ideas of where to visit nearby. They put on a fantastic fireworks display with a live band, stuff for the kids to play on, and free food. Our granddaughter made a couple of friends and we will definitely be back there if we are in the area. I am posting pics of the here plus the places we visited during our stay.”
