“One of the best collections of any bookstore I have ever been in. The shelves are overflowing, both with tons of copies of popular books and unique ones you’re unlikely to find elsewhere. The store is deceptively huge as well. The used books are all reasonably priced and in good shape. The one downside is there isn’t a store catalogue to search for a particular book but digging is part of the fun and the sections are well categorized. Bonus shoutout to the two kitties that live here!”

“Cool book store with a wide variety of books and other knickknacks. I would have giving it a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the unfriendly staff. Been here several times, every time I feel unwelcome and get a very judgmental vibe as soon as I walk in. Staff would rather talk amongst themselves or stare at the computer, and shop online, then welcome in or help customers. When I went up to pay it felt like I was bothering them and taking up their time. I didn’t even get a “Thank you for coming in” or something along the line. Every other shop I visited today for holiday shopping I was welcomed by a warm greeting and, even if I didn’t purchase something, got thanked for stopping by. It makes one feel appreciated and valued as a patron. If I wanted to be treated poorly as a customer I would just shop for things on Amazon. Won’t be shopping at this book store ever again.”

“This is a very shady company. On the website I found a puzzle for my wife. There was a button that said "Click here to see the sale price." When I clicked, a large box popped up with a price in giant font about 2/3 the regular price. But the small print said that this was the price for some magnifying glass and by clicking OK, it got added to my cart. Unaware of their sneak-in-basket tactics, I decide to buy 3 puzzles instead of 2 because of the sale price I thought I had. They wouldn't have fooled me except that these were gifts from my wife and I could hear her coming down the hall, so I finished things up in a hurry. When I later saw the charge, it was almost double what I expected because there was no sale price for the puzzles AND the stupid magnifying glass was added. Their button that said "click here for the sale price" was a lie. There was no sale price. It was just a trick to sneak something extra into your cart. If you shop here, don't turn your back on them and count your fingers when you're done. If you need more proof of their dishonesty, now that they have my e-mail address, I'm still getting spammed a year later in spite of unsubscribing. I suspect that clicking "unsubscribe" does nothing except tell them that this is an active e-mail address. The "unsubscribe" button is also a lie. Did I complain to them? Yes. You can read the other 1-star reviews to find out how they deal with complaints. They're oh so willing to make things right....you just have to jump through a bunch of hoops for them first, the hourly wage for which will work out to about 10 cents. They're arrogant and condescending and treat you like an idiot. You can hear their eyes rolling over the phone and over the internet.”

“I've been shopping at Carlton's since I started playing in middle school, I have gone back and purchased possibly a dozen instruments from them for my children. They simply take care of you and make you feel like the only person in the room. We just picked up a baritone for my son today and it was as painless as spending money as it can be. Their rental program is amazing especially for kids. their repair policies make renting an instrument from them stress free. their repair department is the best (if not only) in the region and they support our local school musicians with school dropoffs and pick ups of supplies and instruments and repairs. they do so much more, but this review would be so long. thank you Carlton's for making school music instruments easy.”

“Square Books is an independent bookstore located on the courthouse square in Oxford, MS. My wife and I always drop by when we are visiting Oxford. It’s one of the highlights of our trip! If you love authentically unique places, you need to visit the store. It’s a so much better experience than the homogenized big box stores. The staff is friendly and helpful and the book selection is very nice. If you like bookstores, this is by far one of the best. Make a point to pay them a visit!”

“One of the better second hand shops in the area. It has all sorts of books, movies, and collectibles. You'll be able to find random hidden gems that you thought you were not able to find. Sometimes, this place is better than eBay when you're looking for something specific. I was able to find a couple of manga that I was looking for that were not available online.
