“When I go there in the end of January, it is nice weather so that I could go by my Honda fit which is not 4WD but no problem at all, very lucky day I guess. All the lake's serface was iced so I could walk on it. 30-40min to Taushubetsu bridge by walk, which is a mysterious object on the lake. In the winter, because of lake's short water, the bridge seams to be emarged on the lake only in the winter.”

“I went there knowing that there were no flowers in this area, which is at its best from early summer to summer (lol). Even though I couldn't see any flowers, I was hoping to see some on the ridgeline of Mt. Sharidake, but unfortunately it was cloudy. I couldn't see the Shiretoko Mountain Range or Mt. Sharidake. As expected, the tourist center was empty, and the clerk was offering a large discount on local specialty kelp, so I bought it. This is a chance for those who like kelp. I don't think it's worth it to go there just for that purpose (lol). However, just looking at the spacious scenery gave me a sense of something out of the ordinary, and that was a good thing. I think it would be possible to drive with a hot spring set.”

“A few beautiful waterfalls. Excellent with autumn leaves. Multiple places to view from if there are a few other sightseers there at once. Easy parking. Toilets and a vending machine. When we were there a small mobile coffee cart was also there.”
