“I was very nervous about stepping into a dedicated boxing gym, but the anxiety went away after talking for a few minutes with Jose and Dina at the front counter. Taking this leap to invest in my physical health is one of the best decisions I made, and I'm glad I went with this gym. The coaches are knowledgeable in their craft and very patient with new comers. Even the veterans take the time to show you the ropes and give you pointers. I haven't been apart of something like this in years and I want to come back every day to improve my skills and hope to one day get in the ring and spar for real. Believe the reviews, there's no place like this. Update: After two months, I try to come every day. I'm doing two classes a day and I feel amazing. The coaches continue to bring out our best, and push us to be better every time.”

“A place to free yourself from all your feelings. Smash glass, while you yell and have music blaring out of the speakers. It’s super loud, so you have to enjoy the chaos. Who knew breaking stuff can count as a shrink visit (might almost cost the same too though). We picked the 64ish bottles and 10 min session smashing a car. The bottles were enough but we could have done without the car smash. The cars seem to have been smashed to the max and you were just banging on steel at that point. Great date night idea. It does feel like a workout and we suggest you wear shoes you don’t mind getting glass stuck in. We had to use pliers to take out all the glass. Happy Munchies, @aVeganAndHer”

El Chorro Regional Park

“There are 3 loops. The B loop, which has no hook-ups, but are spacious and with a lot of pull-thrus and no trees. The C & R loops, which are full hook-ups but only 30 amps. The C loop has very narrow roads and is not big-rig friendly, but has more trees. We were in the C loop and just barely fit with 40 MH. The R loop streets are wider and would have been more suited for our MH. There is no TV signals, but our Verizon worked OK. There is a nice park and off-lease dog area. For $10 you can see the botanical garden, and there is a golf course. But $45 for a county park with narrow and tight roads is way too much.”

“This gym is top notch. The friendliest team members! Skilled and friendly coaches to push you beyond your limits! The best workout classes in Southbay by far! Their classes will give you results in 2 weeks or less!! Great for families, my kids love the classes offered to the youth club also! Highly recommend!!”

The Gym La

Open until 10:00 PM

11567 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025, United States

“Pros: clean, decent selection of machines, free weights for a gym its size, free towel service. Not too crowded even at peak hours. Cons: on the smaller side and pretty damn expensive for the size and amenities. Limited hours. Personal trainers seem to be more interested in chatting and taking up a machine/area for a long time. WiFi seems to cut in and out quite a bit.”
